You did good showing use all the things that are important when servicing and a lot of these tips apply to many smaller tractors even if there not Mahindra..... the magnesium strainer is a sticky one for sure and a place to be diligent for sure....as sensitive as righting head bolts in an aluminium block I would say.....I think you could have gotten the two parts welded together but then the price would have bin preventative on that.....I worked in a place we’re welder were welding magnesium after casting for aviation engines parts and when they were finished you could not tell but I guess those were very expensive castings......Good explanation Dave.....CHEERS

Your FRONT AXLE uses 80/90 gear oil. Not Hydraulic oil. The Trans uses 3.6 Gal HST oil, the front axle uses 2.6 quarts of 80/90 gear oil.

@RCAFpolarexpress 2 месяца назад
Good Evening Sir, Thank You Very Kindly For Subscribing To My Channel 👌😇👍Yes I agree about using the API GL-4 Grade SAE 80w90. But It was also very well mention too to use ( Mahindra tractor hydraulic Fluid ) on page 5-23 from your Owner Manuel the very first year that tractor was made and on that same page the front axels use 2.5 quarts. Comment ca va mon ami? The maintenance of your tractor was going along really well until the strainer broke. So sorry for that. The last time I was changing the TDH oil in my transmission I stripped out the oil drain plug at the bottom of the transmission. That made me pretty sick so I can understand why you were so disappointed when this strainer broke. Good that you have such a great dealer and they were able to get the spare for you so quick. Bonne courage Dave et a la prochaine!!!

Mahindra Dave, sorry about the strainer breaking on you. Stuff like that is silly priced sometimes. Weird that your manual tells you 10w30 motor oil. Most diesels like 15w40 which is what my manual calls for. I’m 120 hours in and no major problems. Rear axle seal leaking pretty bad but dealer covered under warranty. Front end loader valve assembly leaking some from the bottom, attachments only 1 year warranty here so will have to fix that myself. I’m with you only thing I’m a little disappointed in so far is quality of the paint.
@RCAFpolarexpress
@RCAFpolarexpress Год назад
Good Morning Sir, Thank you very Kindly For Your OUTSTANDING Informative feed back comment 👍👌😇 Yes, do use 15w40 but if you are in cold climate 10w30 synthetic is good too. Please T6 Rottella is the best Sir 😇👌👍 Now for your Rear Axel, that is very sad and I'm happy that was under warranty. Now for the front control valve, mine was leaking to but I fixe it ( was loose hydraulic screw fittings ( bucket control ) connections. Sometimes vibration will make them come loose too. Yes Paint is the not best, ( redone the floor ) and put a thinker rubber carpet. thank you again Sir for your OUTSTANDING support and enjoy your Little Red Work Horse Mahindra tractor Sir Cheers 🍻😇👌👍

The wheel spacers make the tractor look good and a lot more stable. In addition to checking the torque on the backhoe bolts I expect it would be good to replace them at some point. It is odd that they use 12mm head bolts, I would expect 13mm although I think it is common to do this on small tractors for some reason. We have just finished the same oil and filter changes on our Iseki compant tractor, for us it was the plastic front axle fill plug that broke. I wonder what the factory torque setting is for the strainer
@RCAFpolarexpress
@RCAFpolarexpress 2 года назад
Thank you very kindly for the OUSTANDING support and nice word 👌👌😇😇 Yes it does make tractor more stable in deed ( doing various mountain testing in Shefford !!! ) The bolt are great quality but they will need to be change for sure. I did ask the dealer about the setting for the torque ( the book did not talk about it ) Thank you again and keep up your OUTSTANDING work at school, summer holidays are near Cheers 🍻🍻

I love this little tractor. Question for you the expert, do you have a part number of a non mahindra or yanmar replacement oil filter? Wix or Fram? Also have you ever adjusted the relief valves, just a little? I turned mine down on the loader and the backhoe and that extra 15% or so has been great. Also I love the wheel spacers, I flipped my wheels. So far they seem to be ok flipped. It gained an inch each side by flipping them.

@RCAFpolarexpress 2 года назад
Good Morning Sir and thank you very kindly for subscribing to my channel, I'm far to be an expert but I do know how to get the information with the dealership 😇😇👌👌 I've try to find out about the filter that they sold in Canadian Tire or auto parts ( Fram, Wix and others ) and at the end, I always come back with at the dealership ( my tractor is still under warranty ) So I decide to buy always my parts at the Mahindra dealership and keeping all my maintenance receipt. No I never touched the relied valve I do not know how and I do not want to void the warranty at all. In my mind is slow win the race !!! I never tought about flipping my wheel ( Great idea of your Sir !!! ) Thank you very kindly for your very well comments Sir and Have a great week and Please, do take care of that strainer that I broke it is a 250$ cnd fond with out taxes expensive mistake 😮😮😌😌 Cheers 🍻🍻
