Amazing video. Only one thing I noticed, Major wasn't a passenger vehicle, that is commander. Commander is similar to Major but stills gives Different driving experience. You should have explained the difference between the two. When you said about major, the photo shown in video was of a Commander jeep which had 10-12 seating capacity while the major had only 7-8 seating capacity and had the real JEEP experince.

From Early to Mid 50s Mahindra uses CKDs assembled locally he started manufacturing in late 50s.In 68 they have shifted from LHD to RHD but CJ3B continues till late 80s .CJ4 was 101 inch vehicle was introduced in 69 I have not seen any 68 vehicle

Nice video but I have some points according what I researched till now CJ3a never used in Indian Army they have CJ2A for army at early stage they are only a distributor,Willys Overland switched engines from go devil to hurricane because of OHV to accommodate that engine they have introduced new model which is 3B which went into production in late 52 and in India mahindra acquired license for that early 3bs are CBUs and later CKDs.for making it indigenous local part production was started after 58.LHD jeeps production continues till early 68 then RHD 3B continues.I have never seen 68 cj4a but 69 yes my friend have one.CJ500 which is diesel version of CJ4A was introduced in 75 with B275 engine.MM540 is diesel where as MM440 is petrol which uses hurricane engine.Rest you know Regards Davis 😇

Sorry wrong information not 1968 mahindra lunched cj4a in 1972.extend the short chassis 9inch.and In late 1979 and 1980he lunched International jeep diesel version.but he still continue to making short chassis army last 1993.
