I saw the video, it is good, I currently use 2017 Thar and 2020 Scorpio on day to day basis, initially i didn't paid much for service but as I crossed 35k kms i started getting avg of 15k for just normal service and for my Thar 2017 at 45k kms i had to change my Disk Break completely as it was worn out along with some suspension bush which cost me more, I got the problem of EGR Cooler which is not good. Personally I feel Mahindra should improve the quality, there are electrical issues with electrical in 2020 Scorpio. I request MotorOctane to review it for a long term review in XUV 700 run for at-least 50k. Thank You.

I'm considering XUV700 AT AWD over the other options. I got feedback that the suspension of the car is a little noisy and the brake pad needs to be replaced every 10,000kms. Just wanted to get real time ownership feedback on these issues. @MotorOctane Please help! :)

My Hyundai Xcent petrol first paid service after 3 years and 16000 kms, service cost is Rs. 9800. I only changed front disc brake pads and engine air filter. Labour charges of Hyundai are just too much.

XUV 500 service cost is between 10k-15k, so for 700, it would be the same. 2800rs labour charges including taxes, 1500Rs AC filter. 5000Rs front disc pads have a life of 40k KMs in most cases, and software upgrade is of 800Rs at a later stage, but as facelifts come support for the old versions is stopped by the company. Bigger engine cars(2000CC or above) have expensive spare parts. And this is the case with every company even with Toyota. Hyundai changes the look of the car after every 2 years. Earlier engine oil was changed at 20k km. I don't understand why Mahindra shifted to 10k Kms for an oil change.

So engine oil used on the XUV 700 is not fully synthetic? A 5w40 fully synthetic engine oil would cost around 5k+ for 6 litres. Using inferior engine oil may reduce the initial costs but will not be good for the car in the long-term.

TOTAL MAINTENANCE COST for XUV700 (for its lifespan of say 90k km) will be ₹200,000 approx. Don't know whether this video was a sponsored video, But my experience with the erstwhile XUV 500 (not just me but also many others I know) was very very bad. So I assume XUV 700 should not be any different. Its absolute high maintenance car. These reviewers only talk about labour cost etc. and that also for a car that's just 1-5 months old. But after 40k km, you will realise that your break pads need to be changed, your shock absorbers and even suspensions need refinement or replacement, chairs won't fold, car makes screeching noise whenever breaks are applied, so even that gets changed or serviced. Total, I have already spent about ₹200,000 on my XUV 500 (90,000 km) which is 6 years old. XUV 700 should not be any different when it comes to maintenance cost. Also, once you give for service, the total time it takes them is about a week, which is kind of poor given the fact that other car manufacturers can do similar work in like 2 days.

Hi Rachit @MotorOctane, Please make a vlog on the suspension noise when the car passes through a bad patch on the road. I know this is not the right content as it is not related to the subject but I would strongly recommend you to do that. It might not be from your XUV 700 but it has a lot of buzzes around in the market for this beautiful car. Please do some ground research and come up with the right things.

Bhai apne only 1 filter replace Kiya hai, agar ap aise 3 4 services me sirf oil filter hi change karenge aur air filter ,fuel filter , and A/c filter replacement nahi kiye naa tho uske bad dekho apki car ki condition. Ap jo kahrahe hai ki sirf 4k ke andar service hogaya, agar aise adha service karayenge tho sasta hi padega

Those sun blinds look great. Unfortunately they are against the law while driving. I have the same ones and here in Bengaluru I've been stopped by the cops several times and was politely asked to remove them. I wasn't fined partly because it was always a different location and a different cop. We are however allowed to put them on when the car is parked.
