These are the Top 5 things that SVP thought you may not know of. That are important! ADAS, etc. are also no doubt key features. But these were things under the skin so to speak, that otherwise people may not talk about! Thanks for catching that intent! Means a lot!!
This make us believe that the structure, suspensions and riding dynamics would remain the same across models. While the tech and airbags would scale up the models. However with the starting price of 12lac (+/-50) is very attractive and most awaited for many
I am Automobile nerd and I always expect a representation of actual safety detailing in similar fashion. You guys have thrown a top class video of this new car and the new safety hygiene of M&M for its future cars. A big thank you for putting out this video, both to the channel and Engineering team of the Mahindra. :)
What a comprehensive explanation!! .. Something can only be possible on this channel.. it's great to see Indian Car Makers investing in R&D of a product..
It’s nice that safety is taken first priority and then make features those are first in class. Mahindra has gone miles ahead but there are two things Mahindra needs vast improvement those are better service and low maintenance costs
Worth nuch MORE than the money! Yes, I didn't know single aspect mentioned here. Safety, build quality, technology, features are outstanding. .. Hope the aftersales don't ruin it though.
Now this a a truly indepth review of the vehicle, others are busy in discussing all the high tech features and all comparing with competition of it, but XUV700 deserves this type of review where it actually speaks and give us a glance of its build quality and safety parameters..... Hats of to XUV700 and thanks to this channel for letting us know abt the true facts of it.......
There is so much tech in this car, you actually need a tech reviewer to talk about the screens, SOC, processors, RAM, OS, etc. I watched the original free wheeling video and it was the best insight I've got into any car. However, there are a few things I would nitpick about this video - 6GB is just memory in the SoC (system on a chip) and does not really tell anything about the processor itself. Similarly, stating the millions of instructions per second does not mean much. However, talking about the fact that it uses the third generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon automotive cockpit platform and that it is Qualcomm's latest in production cars worldwide is a lot more significant. Similar to Qualcomm's processors for mobile phones, they may have different versions for different price segments. Is the processor used in this car the top end, mid range or low end? What is the display resolution of the screens? What kind of protection does the screen have? Is it Gorilla Glass? What kind of operating system does it use? Will there be an app store to download 3rd party apps like Zomato? The list goes on. A tech reviewer may be a good addition to your team of car enthusiasts.
Yes Aditya. We will do a Tech Check with Sahil. We have already requested M&M for a car just for this. We are yet to review the tech in detail anyway. So far we have just told you what all is there, but not ho it works, or if it work well! We promise to do that.
@@inderpreetguliani5364 😂 good point! But the tech in new cars is one of their big selling points. And most of this tech is being designed by the same companies which design the internals of our phones - Qualcomm, Nvidia, etc. MG is even claiming that their new Astor would be a platform for apps and services. So, I guess, car le raha hoon and I expect it to have cutting edge computing hardware and software like my phone. 😀
Where were you man.. one of the best n most relevant review since long the product started hype.. was it paid promotion or objective review?..thnx for making aware some very unknown things about the car..
This is a good review about the tech inside which is very important for people to know but they don't bother because a lot of them don't understand. Kudos to you for explaining the same in layman's language. Also, if you could explain the drive trains and the engine acceleration, performance, and roll-over stability it could become a complete guide to an XUV 700 potential buyer.
This is a good video. Thanks for making this. Does this vehicle use galvanized steel? Regulations only cover cars below 10 lakh. Wanted to see if the infamous rust issues are solved with 700
Safety, Safety n Safety! This should be a priority over anything else. Only drawback i c with xuv700 is the lower ground clearance. Looking at our road condition, wouldn't prefer anything less than 175 mm.
After much deliberations, I had almost made up my mind to go for Jeep Compass diesel automatic Limited. But you guys have again put me in a dilemma after highlighting all these features of XUV 700 and that too probably at 7-8 lakhs cheaper price 🤦♂️
Compass is a nice car too, but it has its drawbacks. Firstly, the price, almost 32 lacs on road. Secondly, lack of space at the rear seat & also in the trunk. Thirdly, after sales service. Fourth, quality of materials at this price point. Better to go for xuv700, as it is cheaper & more spacious & can take u almost everywhere....
@@joyjitbhaumik225 I agree to many of your points. But my main problem with XUV 700 is its length. I had driven XUV 500 earlier and was not very comfortable with its length. For me the Compass has the perfect dimension. Anyway, I will definitely take a test drive of the XUV 700 before making the final call.
Very nicely explained about the features of XUV 700 and how it was made. Pininfarina worked with Mahindra and they both have done a fantastic job by creating this manly Tusker.
Excellent content cnb 👍. Feel proud that Indian Car Manufacturers are focusing on safety and this one has class leading features too. My only gripe is that why the boot space has not yet been revealed officially.
Every Car reviews are made outside. But here No engine test No road test No comfort test No gear test No leg room test And No driving test But this is something hardcore in another level. Car Review 2.0 kudos team 👏🏻 Homework well done Beautiful in n out
Rather than using Spot welding Mahindra should have used laser welding technology because it will give them better strength against crash protection & VW is using in their cars like Polo, Vento & rest of their cars.
Excellent detailing !!! Enough number of reviews happened already, I think M&M must fast-track the car availablity in the showroom for test drive and booking. Looks like this car is going to keep the waiting period long.
It seems Ring structure only applies to low variants and higher variant does not have it due to sky roof. As so much stress is given to ring structure, It will be interesting to understand what makes it rigid for sky roof variants and it’s Roll over safety. As per available information there is no choice to have non skyroof option above ax3 versions. Are they compromising safety over skyroof!!
It would be interesting when instead of advertising only on 'cosmetic' features, if TATA, MG, HYUNDAI or VW provides this level of detailing for their upcoming cars. Then potential buyers can take more informed decision. Thanks to CnB for making such a info stuffed review. Liked it very much.
Speedometer scree is not aligned with steering center point. View of speedometer slightly cut when you see through the steering. Mahindra has to change screen size and increase it little bit to cover those cut area for better experience of the screen.
That is a great question. And yes there is a partnership with Jio in the works. But there may be an initial period after which only the porting may be possible. But we think you will need to stay with the pre fixed data plan. And not make an individual opt out.
How long is to be the delivery? Any detailed plan they have to manage high demand. Surely, the longest waiting time could lose many of the enthusiasts. It’s evident the global glitch of semiconductor production is affecting a lot of deliveries.. how this xUV 700 is going to keep with commitment
M&M has set a benchmark in safety standards & comfort features through the use of advance technology in XUV 700, without compromising on built quality, ride quality, safety or comfort. It is truly amazing that they were able to achieve all of this at such a reasonable price point… something other manufacturers need to seriously think as it does apparently look that the other car companies have been taking the Indian consumers for granted by compromising either on ride dynamics or feature list or built quality, & stating to us that it is unachievable at this price point. Mahindra has proven everyone wrong & added the necessary flair required for Indian car market through this product that caters to multiple segments. Excellent video covering minute details & spreading such awareness amongst Indian customers… Thanks to C&B and Sid! 👌👍
This is so informative and helpful. Definitely sheds light upon the design principles used and the vision with which Mahindra intends to care for consumers through quality products. Thanks for the research and sharing!
Does the AX5 variant have automatic climate control AC? The brochure of vehicle doesn't say it clear. As the vehicle is not out for verifying is it possible to know authoritatively?
Hi, so how many airbags and curtain airbags would there be in the AX5 model ? I’ve been trying everywhere to get a proper answer . I hope you guys could help me out with this one . 🙏🏻
Well, I just picked up this video so late, such a shame. So insightful. Detailed yet to the point. I read your response to @Aditya Kar, well looking forward for it. While many other videos go around the usual stuff, the behind the scenes like this one in the Engineering Room gives a detailed insight and so much food for thought both for users, enthusiasts alike. Like how Mahindra is raising the bar in the automotive industry, you are also doing the same as to how exactly to do a car review. On a lighter vein, both @carandbike and Mahindra are helping each other in bringing up higher standards in the respective areas. No wonder you are like pros in making the competition look a bit retarded. Cheers.
You are the biggest influencer for me to look for this car, otherwise I was almost ready to compromise on safety and go for seltos, it just puts seltos, harrier and Safari to shame(with barely 3 star and no rating), the level of comfort and safety mahindra is providing at this price point is almost impossible at this point of time. Great work ! It is hard for any company to sell top notch safety and comfort when other companies car gets sugarcoated with bunch of useless stuffs that comes with huge replacement cost. Thank God people are now giving safety as priority now, the trend is gonna change, slowly kia will be another Maruti with just top interiors and good outer design , inside it is just Tim can with air filter
Really hope every car review channel was like this car and bike video and Motor vikatan who went into explaining the technicality of monocoque structure and rigidity. Thank you and M&M so much for making this both educational and entertaining.
Why manufacturers choosing torque converter as diesel engine is already generates huge torque? Torque converter is specially designed for low torque petrol engine. I believe that dual clutch auto is the most compatible with diesel automatic. Torque can be converted in to horsepower with high fuel efficiency but to genrate torque with using of engine horsepower is not a worth.
Mahindra you make lovely cars. I have bought all the generations from you’ll. And all models had so much issue. It’s nice until you’ll have a troublesome car. Service is really really bad.
So you bought one Manindra car, didn't like it but still you went ahead and bought another Mahindra car? And in fact, you're claiming that you bought all their cars despite not having a good experience with them?
It is from a part supplier. M/s Koni is the supplier from Netherlands , it is called FSD Mk-2. The Jeep Compass uses the same supplier, but has the Mk-1 gen product.
@@carandbike well koni seems to be the market leader on fsds. But good point from you in the last video, where you had pointed out that jeep still markets fsd as one the major selling points, while m&m isn't bragging about it much (they sure should do it though). Btw, does the c5 aircross have fsd too? All of citroen ads feature around its plush ride owing to amazing suspension, but I could no where find the usage of fsds.
