Hi guys, welcome back to the Grand PokeTour!
This time, we head to Mahogany Town and the Lake of Rage. Mahogany Town is the home of the Ninjas, and it's based on the real world location of Koka City (the home of the Koga-ryu). This is probably where Koga, the Fuchsia City gym leader (and Johto Elite 4), takes his name from. Koga, being a ninja, comes from a long ancestral line of ninjas.
After checking out Mahogany Town, we head to the Lake of Rage, which is very clearly Lake Biwa (Biwa-ko). The lore connects Mahogany Town to the Lake of Rage through the activities of Team Rocket. But also culturally and historically, Koka is very much connected to Lake Biwa.

Dude these videos are gold (no pun intended). I've always wanted to see the real world counter parts of the pokemon world and your videos do just that.

Next time I go to Japan, I will try to go to Lake Biwa. Didn't got chance to go, so hopefully will try next time. Thanks about Koka, I didn't know that was a place of Ninjas. YEAHHH

Please do! I captured only a small part (Otsu City) but there's so much around the lake. Let me know how it goes because I'm curious too 😊
