This list is crazy. They trying to say it's only regular season stats, then, why is Aaron Rodgers on this list? He didn't even play a full quarter of football. WTF
Because this is a list based on by players voting, and lets be perfectly honest with ourselves most players in the NFL aren't too bright and/or paying attention to everything that happens in the league.

Because last year wasn’t Mahomes best year by his own standards. Nobody complained that he wasn’t in the MVP race. He didn’t have one of the 3 best seasons last year, period. Myles Garrett was arguably better at his role than Mahomes was at his last year. Everyone knows Mahomes is the best player, especially in the playoffs, but he didn’t have one of the best seasons last year.

Nick is going to be in shambles when Mahomes is permanently behind Lamar on QB lists as he accumulates more accoaldes in the regular and postseason than Mahomes going forward now that he actually has his own all time great teammate. Mahomes has had privilege of having Kelce his whole career, who Nick even admits he thinks is best non-QB in football. Well with a level playing field Lamar is going to absolutely destroy him now with King Henry. Lamar going from having to be his team's leading rusher to having someone who defenses actually have to respect at the LOS

If you don’t think Pat Mahomes is the best player in football, you shouldn’t be able to work for any sports media. This is as obvious as Jordan in his prime.
Didn't they say it's not who's best that season? You take a players total career into account. But obviously, what you have done lately has a bit more impact on players' opinions. That explains why Mahomes was #4, he had a pretty average season.....not nearly enough to be #4....so his career in total is what boosted him up that far.
@joshuarivera1336 ya I'd say his season was pretty comparable to Stroud, so he broke out last year and landed #20 on the list. Mahomes at 4 seems pretty good considering.

You put Mahomes on the Ravens last year and they might have gone undefeated. You put Jackson on the Chiefs with those recievers and they don’t even make the playoffs.
Lamar actually is better than Mahomes and you can stay on that side of the aisle and dont jump on the bandwagon later when it's embarassing that anyone ever thought Mahomes was better a few months from now and especailly a couple of years from now when Lamar/King Henry have the most dominant run in NFL history . Lamar put up 33 PPG before he had real WR the last time he had halfway decent RB for a full season in Mark INgram who isn't close to as good as King Henry nor was the offensive scheme as good. Ravens are going to put up 35 PPG this year and with King Henry the coaches can't saobtage Lamar in the playoffs.

The voting was done midseason so the Chiefs technically already proved them wrong. And it just reflects how dominant Tyreek was at the start of last season while the Chiefs were struggling
Derrick Henry barely in the top 50 and the CHiefs are doomed. Nobody is afraid of Mahomes bud. If anything Lamar above Mahomes has given the Ravens more bulletin board material because of how much the media is bashing the Ravens and Lamar and that's when Lamar plays his best.

The voting was done in the regular season (Nov to Jan) so the list make sense. Tyreek was on fire during that time on pace to break the 2K yard mark. I know it kills seeing Lamar Jackson 2nd but Lamar had the better regular season. Nick doing his best to be #1 Mahommes gropie.

NFL players view Lamar how NBA players view Kyrie and Paul George. People in the media can discredit those players all you want but the actual players have them ranked high.

Except Lamar actually has the pedigree of an all time great, 2x MVP. Both Kyrie and PG are very talented but often overrated and not among the very greatest ever. More so Kyrie, PG does get his fair share of criticism for not performing

It's also important to have a co-host that'll troll that person back just to give a little payback here and there. So you got to appreciate the spirit of the show. I also just find it funny that McDuffie, Sneed, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Joe Thuney, and George Karloftis all were just completely snubbed. But Aaron Rodgers plays 3 snaps and gets to be #92. Thats why the list is so stupid.
Regardless of the season or the numbers that Mahomes put up last season, there’s NO way that any player should be ahead of him. Lets be real if you’re a GM and somehow Lamar and Hill are on the same team, I wouldn’t trade Mahomes for both of them
The best player competition must have "consequential" as the first factor to consider in the selection. "Can play with one good leg" should be the second factor.

The problem with this take is tyreeks drops had massive impacts on these games. You know that tua vs playoff teams stat everyone talks about, well tyreek had 6 dropped tds this season and they all came against those playoff teams

Mahomes, Pacheco, and a decent Rookie wideout have proven themselves in back to back seasons. Put CMC and Hill on the Ravens last year and you still get Lamar choking and the Chiefs winning in AFC championship.

As a jets fan, my team sucks. Now that THAT is out the way, Mahomes is just next level and it ain’t close. You can’t play football alone, it takes at least 1 other player with you. Brady without Stevie “Gonna Nail it” Gostkowski (or however you spell it) and he also had Moss, Gronk, Julian, etc. All this Mahomes hate just isn’t warranted….appreciate the greatness we are witnessing and thank the lord for allowing you to exist in the Brady/Mahomes era

If you look at it glass half full this list just proves how great Mahomes is he lost the best player in the league 2 years ago and they won back to back Superbowls Superbowl MVP’s and a regular season MVP
4 TDs vs the Ravens is very possible, given that Mahomes has more than 2 people to throw to and Baltimore's defense will be considerably worse than last year (from top 2 to top 10).
I don't watch football that much. But I believe Patrick Mahomes II is the best. He is the most underrated future Goat and HOF. Why are people hating. I'm actually looking forward to the football season. I'm going to be watching the games. Chief 3-peat!!!
If we’re talking about the TOP players in the NFL, postseason must be taken into account. If ballots are being submitted prior to the postseason, the previous postseason should be considered. Convenient they forgot Mahomes won that SB too. And without Tyreek no less.
@@chrischilds368 no he can't... he can close that gap *slightly* at best. one superbowl win (in which he has a good playoff run) does not in any way wipe away the slew of significantly below average, in some cases truly awful, playoff performances in years past. Mahomes has had one legitimately awful half of football in his playoff career, and that's it. everything else he has been at least average to good, and often has been GOAT level. for Lamar to significantly close the gap to Mahomes, he would need to win at least two superbowls in a three year span.

In a vacuum Lamar is a slightly better player meaning there are just things Lamar can do on the field that mahomes can’t.. They both have 2 mvps, so you can’t say Lamar is not as talented.the only difference is g at the chiefs have better coaching/scheme/talent than ravens

I love 15 but Nick isn’t right. The chiefs beat the dolphins the ravens and the 9ers, not Mahomes by himself. And in those winning games , the D were the MVPs. 15 was decent and had his contributions but he wasn’t that 5000yd 50td guy last year.
