Given how other installations of this almost immediately developed an unbearable shake, despite relatively tamer layouts, I’m not convinced this one will stay comfortable for long.

@@iRunfastXC apparently it's a compleat re-developement of the chassis, compared to big dipper according to Intamin.

@@johnkeller-mq6hc Just the launches though, not the coasters. The coaster layouts are usually really good. Helix for example is a top 10 worldwide coaster for me, and I have ridden 700 now. If it had really powerful launches it would be top 5 for sure. Just my opinion of course. Mahuka looks crazy, almost like an RMC Raptor. Intamin are definitely improving with the single rail with each version!

Using the track itself has its own spine for the highest bits is a brilliant cost savings strategy. Smart. Allows them to go up there twice without having to build any additional support structure.

in general it keeps quite low to the ground too. Depending on the cost and upkeep of the tyre launces it might be a really good value product for smaller parks looking for a modern thrill coaster. I wouldn't be surprised if we'll see more of these the coming years

I wish the US had more like these. Not about height. Not about greying out. A punchy whip of a ride that you can enjoy with only 2-3 "purposefully" smooth inversions. You can tell how guests hold their arms out during the launches; it's fast enough to make you scream but not so intense you have to grip the restraint and brace your neck.

Think RMC runs a great single rail coaster at Silverwood in Idaho called Stunt Pilot. First time on it I about greyed out twice. Was the first time I've ever felt that lol

I think the latest trend in continuous plated tracks is aimed at automating the track manufacturing process by having a simple continuous machine produced weld.

Thanks for the great footage! I love the look and flow of this ride. Especially the "arch" that is travelled twice is a great idea and beatiful entrance to the ride. But I still don´t get the recent fascination with solo-seat rides! This, the Raptors and those Zamperla Enterprise knock-offs all have single seats. You get low capacity with high-maintenance wheel assemblies (12 wheels per rider!) and where is the fun in riding alone? It´s such a buzzkill for me.
@CoasterTalkSource

For me: I love to sit so close to the track and be right in the center of the designed heartline for the layout. It really kicks differently when the world is almost perfectly rotating around you.

They just stole the design of RMC a small coaster company in Idaho not really all that innovating

@CoasterTalkSource
@CoasterTalkSource 10 дней назад
The track is very smooth, as it is to be expected from a new Intamin; however, the train has a slight rattle that is a little stronger in the back. Nothing that impacts the ride experience, but it is there. I suspect the small wheels are less forgiving than the regular ones.
@ThrillsandForces
@ThrillsandForces 10 дней назад
@@CoasterTalkSource It’s probably smoother than Big Dipper at Luna park, as I heard the rattle on that single rail coaster does take away from the experience!

Science question: Does anyone know if the tyre brake system regenerative, in that is electrical energy produced from the tyres used elsewhere? Or is this just an interesting idea I had?
@CoasterTalkSource
@CoasterTalkSource 8 дней назад
I don't know it. However, I don't believe this is what's done here. The brakes have the same motors as the launch and spinn-up to match the train speed when entering the brakes, to then slowly lower its speed. Which means the motor is powered the whole time and not acting as a generator. I might be wrong, as I am not an electrical engineer, but I was under the impression that you cannot power and generate at the same time.

Looks like it has a duelling function if it uses 2 trains.
@CoasterTalkSource
@CoasterTalkSource 8 дней назад
It does not have any dueling function. The trains tend to be dispatched from the station when the other train is already on the brake run.
