Usually one or two at every model airplane club field and I've flown at right many that want to tell you how to fly. If you can take off and land a model safely you don't need their help.
@@LesterHall-kx2yt When I take a new model to the club I get "Do you want someone to test fly it for you?" My theory is that if it is square, basic CG and the wings aren't hanging off then I should be able to test it myself after nearly 40 years of scratch builds. If I prang it it is on me.
@@LesterHall-kx2ytthat's main reason why I quit RC planes... someone always wanting you to fly or rushing you to fly....ends up in crashes.....all my planes In the attic since 1999....lost interest when I had kids, and never resparked....now I'm in RC cars, a lot easier to repair than a busted up plane made out of balsa and plywood...but I loved it more than cars...too many public Karen's complains Abt the noise too
Was with Dad when he picked up his 1977 Bellanca Citabria. First time I ever did a snap roll, and it scared the bejesus out of me. Me and him did a Knife edge turn, INSIDE and below the rim, of the Mt St Helens crater with that Citabria His had a tow hook and he pulled gliders up for some spare gas money. His had the Green on white Batman wings-ish paint scheme. He bent both wing struts doing some maneuvers with a buddy. Pulled a bit to many g's with the weight onboard. It was fixed, inspected and sold, He had his fun. Very Nice Super. Rode in one of those as well.
Could not do much with it as the top was off, the first flight it flew off and got damaged , need to fix it , the next flight will be better with some flight moves!!
I own the little brother of this airplane. A Franklin two cylinder 60 HP Bellanca Champ. Only two others in original condition left, last time I checked.
Omg why didn't you get his roll out!!! You know what??? You are FIRED. !!!! Damn dude . Guy flying the plane! Get more of your plane including the whole landing!!!!
The flyer is a beginner, no one who has this large a plane should know how to keep an engine running , also that take off cross runway and just kept going straight away, best way to lose a plane with orientation, needs to be told to use the rudder, get comfortable on a small plane please !
No it’s a kit by pilot rc 180 inch super decathlon, originally was made to be electric on 14s than I had a friend convert it to gas with a giant 4 cylinder 222 cc engine!! This is a monster in person the sound the size presences is unreal, it will be a great model to have for little kids to see because realistically they can fit inside!!!
No it’s not true, in the videos maybe but in person, it’s a different feel, next flight will be different , I was flying with no top hatch as it came off and broke, in process of fixing it now. Going to fly this foot off the ground will look neat and also fly it upside down down the runway with the wheels sticking up :)
@@dholmastersherlock Yes I'm sure it feels very different. I was talking about how it looked in the air. You can still cover it with your thumb. I've been building and flying model airplanes for nearly 50 years, attended many QSAA and TOC events, so I do know a little something about it. Can't wait to see what else falls off the darn thing.
This actually was electric, I bought it from Ali machinchi , I got it with no power plant so installed a giant dle 222 with 32x12. I did not have the top it blew off and just went in circles and landed
