Way to go from the Gaviota crew. Already getting them here in the SB county. Love my Salty 120, and did a trolling motor build on it for this year. Love it! Enjoy the season, and see you down here sometime.
That was awesome! Just found your channel. I’ve been watching a lot of fishing videos lately. 😁 A pedal kayak on the San Francisco Bay?!? Wow! Pedaling the kayak makes a ton of sense for fishing. Just subscribed. 👍
Nice fish!! It doesn't look like you bled it.... If they are bled properly, you get a much cleaner fillet, which IMHO make for a better tasting fish....Fish On!!!!
Yes - I could put in at the front. The back gets crowded with the cooler bag if I also put a box back there. Hobie outback has more back space, but Salty PDL has storage space at the front
Be very careful with ratchet straps. I work for a kayak shop and we have definitely seen a good amount damages from those(basically every kayak manufacturer says not to use them or it will void your warranty). Cam buckle straps are very strong and don’t damage your boat
@@FishermansChronicles It’s definitely possible to secure the kayak to your roof with the ratchet straps but it’s easy to do it wrong. Mainly You have a ton of leverage to permanently warp the boat especially if it’s hot. Also depending on the kind of ratchet straps you have it’s a his huge metal buckle that can wear on the boat especially if loose.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and this year i decided to purchase my very first kayak. Could you please tell which app or website for swells, wind, wave forecast in SF Bay ? Thank you
Thanks for watching and congratulations on your first kayak! In the bay, I just check tide and wind. For the tide, i use “Tide Alert”, and for wind, I use “PredictWind”
I run a PDL 120 here on Vancouver Island and love it. Definitely some pro's and cons between Old town and others for sure. But to each their own and they all catch fish! Very cool to see you got one sent to you and nice to see you have a sponser. You are getting there my dude. Keep it up!
