All the rays me and my buddies have caught and ate… like 15+ years of fishing rays with probably at least 50 different people…. Never seen anyone handle one so stupidly
Exactly. I have fished these things all my life and it really looked to me like he was doing everything for the camera. Stung for views. Hope this kid grows up and realizes there is more to life than views on tiktok.
Pulled an arrow out of a southern ray. It got me in the left knuckle. Bad at first, got worse over the next 5 hrs. Worse than a dislocated shoulder. Hot water at the hospital was a big help. I got over confident n paid the price. Junior here was more worried about content than safety, he was also set up perfect for a barb in the thigh.
Not all rays are equal in that regard. We have several types in my state. The cownose is most common. It's barb is right against it's body similar to this ray. The southern rays have if halfway down their tail n can whip it all over. They can reach your hand almost to their breather holes. Ask me how I know that last part 😭🤢
