Had the Nikkei menu May 2022. About 50% same dishes and pairings as yours in 2021 but it's clear that Maido update the menu regularly, as you would expect. Found the experience equally wonderful. Thanks for making the effort to film it all. Nice memories
You guys are very good presenters. Some people exaggerate reactions, but you guys look genuinely enjoyed it. I really enjoy the video as if it was my experience. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the feedback 🙏🏻it really means a lot. We’re glad it was able to relayed as such - we want to take people places! Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy the videos to come!
@@JustAdrift I really wish I could visit peru I’m from the east coast of the US I’ve tried amazing food I think I’ll have to splurge for that experience
@@Chef_Frank That was worth the money. It’s funny though, more often then not cheap street food are some of our favorites. We are from Florida. That’s why we are crazy. What state are you in?
Thank you so much, we LOVE Peru. It truly is the land of 1,000 flavors! We didn't have makis acevichado at Maido, but we have had it at other places around Lima. So delicious! Thanks for watching.
BBC 19.07.2022. 3 Mayta 32 puesto Tambièn aparecen tres japonese, tres mexicanos
I'm from Texas and have been in Peru for over 4 years now without leaving it's borders; I lived in Lima for 18 months of the time here and am planning to try Maidos when I return to Lima in a few weeks. Hope you had a chance to eat swarma at Tarboush across from Parque Kennedy while you were in Lima; best sharma in South America and I have lived all over South America.
@@JustAdrift no I have not but ill put it on my radar.! after this covid stuff I told my wife were going to try some of these places we never go. My wife is Peruvian so we really never go to expensive restaurant's. We normally eat at the places tourists don't know about or visit super cheap in US dollars and absolutely delicious. i think the most expensive place we ate at there was Restaurante Javier in Barranco and Morena Peruvian Kitchen in Cusco. Both were good but if your hungry their not lol.
We are living in Zurich and are planning our trip for April, and we will definitely go to Maido. Any other great restaurants/food places in Lima you can recommend? Thanks for the video!
we were only able to get reservations for the "sushi bar" hightop tables... did you happen to see what the atmosphere was in that area? also, we dont drink. do they have beverage pairings with non-alcoholic drinks?
Hi, had a few questions, I'm going to Lima for just a day and had plans to go to Maido. How much time total do you think I need for the Nikkei Experience? Does it include beverages? Is it ok to go ahead and skip the experience and go for de individual dishes on the menu? How much are the individual dishes? Thank you.
Martin, how's it going? The Nikkei experience lasted right around three hours for us. It does not include beverages, it's an option to order the pairing additionally. I would highly suggest the Nikkei experience over ordering individual dishes, but it is an option. Because we ordered the Nikkei experience when we made our reservation, they didn't give us a menu to look at so I don't have information about how much individual dishes are. I hope you enjoy being there! WE LOVED IT!
Food is supposed to be eaten not to be taken out of context. This fusion is for the yuppies, the superior and entitled spoonfed Brats. Who are used to putting anything in their mouth especially when it’s handed to them. Just because it’s expensive doesn’t make it good. GTFOH
