@@paulroberts6687 I thought this game he was quality. But in games he’s played for us he’s known to make mistakes, but he’s not to blame for every goal
@@paulroberts6687 I wouldn't say that he unpopular - the issue is that most feel our other keeper, Tom Hadler, is better. Our manager who got sacked a couple of weeks back preferred Mersin. As soon as he went, the temporary gaffer picked Hadler instead and he was brilliant at Notts County in the cup last week, saving the penalty that sent us through in the FA Trophy. Unfortunately he got injured in training and turned up yesterday with his arm in a sling, so Mersin is back in and this happens. He made some good saves yesterday but then unpicked all of that hard work to cost us the game at the end.
Looking like a razor thin margin at the top, Wrexham has to win every single game, almost dropped 2 points here and the penalty was ... okayish, seen these go both ways. Good luck on staying up, you guys put up one heck of a fight, no game is easy.
Maidstone and Scunthorpe don't deserve to go down. Maidstone because of this display of skill without the usual NL thuggery (They looked very dangerous, as a Wrexham fan I was on the edge of my seat!), and Scunthorpe because they have such devoted fans. IronArmy (@ScunthorpeUnited) videos are so great to watch.
Fantastic performance from Maidstone - no way that was bottom v top. So very nearly held them to one point, if only we could have converted just one of those chances - or had a better ref! Still, at least they know how we can play now - and that goal difference that keeps them second might turn out to be critical. They may yet rue the day they came to the Gallagher.
Same dogshit ref Aldershot had a few weeks ago. Gives penalties for nothing but then misses 100% stick on on hand ball right in front of him. Wrexhams 3rd goal was a foul on the defender.
