As a male doll lover I can relate to being uncomfortable about liking dolls. I spend so much time in the toy aisle nowadays. The target by my job, all the employees know me as the doll collector.😆 I'm more expressive of my love. Sometimes I share pictures of my costume dolls. All things I wouldn't have done over a year ago. So many items. Mini merman you! The love that this community has for you is unmatched 💖
What a great haul! Color reveal Barbie is so pretty! Merman is quite handsome and, the baby is so cute! I like the decorations that Johnathon put on the outside of the box!

Congrats on getting the merman! We're still on the hunt. The tie dye series are very cute, we got almost all of them including the orange one, but I can't say I love her face sculpt.
I hope the puppets will develop for the better: 1 Detailed placement of a mermaid's tail for a much better grip on what it is now. 2 Developing men's dolls and placing joints for them to enable them to move better. Increasing their height from the length of the girls' dolls to be more realistic, and developing other new shapes

I work with kids (in daycare) and have a collection of memories, where I have been deeply moved by what they have said, done etc. One memory is related to the topic you speak in the beginning of this video. How for whatever the fucking absurd, horrible and illogical reasons we consciously or unconsciously make rules about who gets to enjoy what things. It is heartbreaking really. This was with a group of kids from three to six year olds. It was early morning, before breakfast and therefore only few children were present. One of them was a boy, whos friends hadn´t yet come in for that day. He was alone in one of the rooms and it was the only time during that year I saw him playing with barbies. (I did try to subtly encourage that then and afterwards but that is besides the point) Everyone can make a difference when around with kids as adults. Even if action toys/barbies etc are not your interest. If you don´t have kids in your inner circle, you can stop at store at the toy isle and show for few kids that it´s ok for a man to be interested in barbies. I’m a lady but I think everyone deserves to enjoy dolls if they want to my first doll that officially kicked off my collecting of Barbie’s was a color reveal mermaid I thought I was too old to collect dolls so I felt silly coping her out when I rang her up I thought she cost too much but as I was asking an employee to void the item the lady behind me said I’ll pay for it for you people deserve little things that make them happy as long as they don’t hurt others or themselves be you and be happy I thanked her a million times she left before I could get her name but I never forgot they and never will So like she said be you and be happy!

And still weirdly expensive.They KNOW there IS competition out there giving quality dolls??To rely on the name to sell might backfire when a new generation sees these cheap dolls....it might get a new reputation....again very tragic
