ngl bro this run is pretty sick. I thought it was gonna be a generic saferoom dash but the strats you used were so cool, like when you chained the adrenaline to outrun the jockey through the swamp on swamp fever
If you're stuck, you will get teleported to the nearest bot. Basically what happened was when he got teleported to the saferoom, the director stopped because its only restricted to the planthouse.
if the game thinks you are stuck, it teleports you to the neares ally, this happens to infected bots as weell (thats how people can teleport tanks on versus, they get stuck in some place, and a hunter goes live close and boom tank teleport to the closest infected so appears in the middle of the survivors,) thats also the reason the survivors bots teleports they are not nessesary "Cheating" even tho they do cheat in a few things (shoots don't trigger alarm cars and witch) but they teleport if the game think they are stuck like not on purpose to cheat.
If teammates are still alive and didn't come into the elevator the event doesn't start, the only way you can start the elevator is if all alive teammates are in or they're downed elsewhere - the safe room - you can force start the event by interacting with the kiosk looking thing by the car.

The way I do it in this video is only possible on older versions of the game, valve tried to patch the skip but failed and on the steam version you're still able to do it, just have to do it differently. by walking into the bottom of the stairs the way i do, your character gets stuck. when you get stuck like that, you get teleported to the nearest survivor, in this case, to the bleeding out bots in the saferoom

In Dark Carnival finale if you down the bots in a certain area of the saferoom and have them be bleeding out as you activate the finale, they'll get kicked from the server and they'll stay kicked as long as you call a vote to a different campaign
sitting in a normal spot mindlessly shooting zombies waiting for it to end isnt much better tbf, but since the release of The Last Stand they fixed most godspots and the new all campaigns category mostly doesnt have any waiting around in godspots in finales if thats your thing
This is an older video and I probably won’t get a response, but how and why during plantation you start up the conversation with Virgil hide under some stairs and that teleports you back to the safe house
talk to virgil to start finale getting stuck under the stairs teleports you to the nearest teammate after 10 seconds, zombies cant find you there so they die, its faster than staying and shooting them
hey man, very impressive run! me and my buddy run l4d2 very often and I was wondering how you were able to get the zombies to spawn back in after breaking the script on the atrium finale? We unknowingly did this exploit but couldn't get the zombies to spawn back in which made it impossible for us to finish the chapter, was it because you need to be alone? Also, how were you able to warp back into the saferoom during the plantation finale?
1. you press that information board next to the car to start the finale script, then you need to wait about 5 seconds or so before you can start pouring in the cans (you can see it glows blue) 2. you get yourself stuck, and the game teleports you to the nearest player
if your character gets stuck it gets teleported to the closest living teammate after 10 seconds. theres no TAS, this is vanilla singleplayer (on the release version of the game)
if you enter the elevator while bots are bleeding out, thats what happens you start the finale script that spawns the zombies manually by interacting with the information board
Speedrunners are known to play downpatched versions of games on occasion. Not saying this was on a downpatched game, could've been, but that's just conjecture.
