You need to keep giving Niko some materials, by adding them to his DIY box upstairs. Once you do it, he will give you a new recipe every day, for all the other variations of pillars and counters.

How do you decorate your own home the same way you decorate the HHD houses? Is that a feature you get later on?

I was doing it on Harv's Island, but the size of the room is identical to the one you have on your island :) So you can plan the design on Harv's (since it's easier) and then copy the build later

So basically after a certain number of houses are completed in hhp, niko will give you a recipe for the walls and counters.

@@Xalyth8855 its after like 10-12 houses you start learning the counter and pillar recipes. I also had to decorate the café and restaurant before I even unlocked it. Once Niko starts asking for DIY materials (like i said after 10-12 houses) you'll soon unlock them! :)

@@claudszr in the dlc, niko will start talking to you about diys and eventually he’ll tell you to get materials for him. this brick variation isn’t the first one you get though

Just give Niko the monkey materials to build new pillars. Then he will give you the recipe to make it.

The partition walls and counters are from happy home paradise, the new dlc!! Once you decorate a certain amount of home, you’ll unlock the option to use them in your creations for the dlc as well as the recipe to use at ur island!

@@sweetp1015 The photo studio on Harv's island lets you decorate a full cabin with no restriction to anything you've unlocked in your catalog. So you would design what you'd want there, and then use that to decide what to buy for your own house.

Hello! :) After finishing fifteen vacation home requests, you have to talk to Niko about DIYs upstairs in the main office. The next day, he should teach you how to make wooden pillars! If you want him to make you more types of pillars (like brick, concrete, gold, marble, steel, etc), you will have to give him materials and he should be able to make them for you! :)

Lottie will let you know that Niko is getting more interested in crafting. Which will make the box upstairs next to the crafting table accessible. Niko will have a list of materials. After you complete a list, the next day Niko will give you a recipe for different pillars and counters.

Quick question, are most furniture items (fans, ceiling lights, dlc objects, etc.) you use in the DLC available in your home after 15 houses or do you have to wait to purchase the items from Timmy and Tommy? How do you get your Partitions, Pillars and etc to look like the wall you're using? I understand that this was done on Harvs Island and I get how that's done. But the Pillars, Partitions etc are given by Niko in sets. Like a Concrete Set, a Marble Set, etc ... so how, when using these in your house, do you get them to match.

I love the build....except for the one spot under the couch where you didn't put the carpet edging detail. I know it is under the couch and most of the time you wont see it but every time you move the camera and i see the couch i just notice the blank spot and it is driving my OCD crazy.

If anyone is having issues with Niko teaching you how to craft pillars/island counters make sure you've already taught him diys, if he still won't teach you after 1 day, time travel 2 weeks ahead and it should trigger the event.
