🖤 Maxie is 7 years old, 🧡 Foxie is 5, and they were indoor cats their whole lives! Their first reaction to having a garden is so cute 😻
We lived in a flat in the city, so they were allowed to go on the balcony with us but nothing more. This year, we moved into a house with a garden, and they finally got this outdoor experience. ✨
Summer is over here in the UK 🇬🇧, but we're going to post more summer adventures so you can relive them with us 💗

I love your cats! But I also love your raised garden bed. I've wanted to make one, ,well, learn how to make one, and I want it just like yours! That wood is beautiful. Did you make it or did it come with the house? Your cats are gonna love it outside!

We haven't done anything in the garden yet 🙈 So the planter wasn't made by us, it's made from wood...

Our boys are father and son, Killian & Magnus, grey and red. We have a large Catio but our neighbourhood already has many cats and dogs, and a busy road not far away. I really wish we could let them out but it is simply too risky. Love to watch though. We have used harnesses to walk the back yard though.

We don’t have any big roads nearby, we live in a village 🙈 so even if cats run away/jump over the fence (it’s very unlikely as we watch them), it’s not dangerous for them out there…

Maybe you can get a tent and put them in there so they can be outside but in a see through netted tent

Ага, Макси почему-то смелее на новом месте и всегда идет первая на разведку 👀 Но вот когда приходят гости, она не такая храбрая 😅

@@maxiecoonа когда гости приходят, самая смелая кошка быстрее всего убегает и прячется так, что ещё два часа после ухода "посторонних" её не найти 😂 А рыжему и большому коту достаются все восторги и громкая радость))) но ему это не очень нравится

@@noatouw They were indoors and now they can go outside but only supervised 👀 They are microchipped but this chip is not a tracker… So if someone steals them, it will be tricky to find them

Just never get complacent believing a fence will keep unattended cats safe. I have seen accounts were in the USA coyotes, owls, other birds of prey swoop down and take the cats, and yes, a large owl , hawk, eagle can carry them off, just Goggle the pictures. Not sure what you have in the UK equivalent to coyotes, but those things are fast and can jump on the roof of a house or garage very easily. It would be a good idea to invest in an outdoor catio, look up pictures online for thousands of ideas. Not to mention, some folks in hoods hate cats and poison them, or some get accidentally locked in storage sheds or garages. I do not allow my cats outdoors any more unless they are on a leash or in a pen. I live further out but have predators.

We don’t have coyotes or anything similar… We have foxes but they are good with cats 🙈 Anyways, we don’t allow our cats to go outside unsupervised 👀 And I can’t imagine any animal can carry 6-8 kg cats, who will also scratch and bite them badly 😼 Our garden isn’t very big, so it’s easy to monitor cats being there, considering that they don’t want to go over the fence.

@@maxiecoon I have a Maine Coon who has lived inside for 2 years. This summer i let him out for the first time in a similar fashion to you in an enclosed garden. I did the same again a few days later and he was straight over the fence and on the neighbours roof 5 mins later. I got him back in, but he now meows constantly to go out. It was a mistake.
