Hey man, I just want you to know that Jesus Loves you and died for you. In the beginning, God created us to worship Him and have relationship with Him. But we've sinned against God and condemned to going to hell because God is a Judge and Wrath of God. But God still loves us and want us to be saved. So Jesus came down this earth and died for us and get punished for our sins even though He is sinless and perfect. And if anyone repents of their sins and follow Jesus Christ and have faith. Will be saved. That's why all of us need to repent of our sins or we will go to hell. You need to repent of your sins sir or mam. God bless

For other things ( like piano ), studies showed that even practicing even a little 10 to 20 min everyday will make you better, you can still repeat more if you allocate more time to it, but there is NO INNEFICIENCE zone in most things and its really important to remember that : It is VERY specific to the muscle development to have inneficiency zones. If you just want to do sport to stay healthy for example, studies again show that even 5 min a day or 10 ( litterally nothing ) and even spreaded as 2 or 3 min sesh of intense random workout through the helps a lot for your health ( lower cancer rates,chronic heart isease chaneces etc etc... ! The muscle development is a very specific topic, and its all applicable because of the mechanics behind it being really specific with nanometer scales of how myosin and actins are the most efficient in cells. The idea is interesting, but false to apply to most things like social encounter, piano or even just basic sport.

There is, most learning actually happens in sleep, it's when your brain takes stuff from the short term memory (STM) and move to long term memory (LTM), that's said, studying a hour a day every single day is more effective than long term stretches of studying in one day per week for example, also, attention span, it actually degrades the more time you work on a task, 4h of concentration is the baseline of deep work for example. Counterpoint tho: regarding attention span, it's all about resistance, and you can train your brain to sustain more than that, but it's really hard to pull it off every day in a consistent manner, hence the inefficiency.

It's a nice thing in theory, but in my mind not applicable at all. How would I know what value is the maintenance volume and what is the minimum effective volume? Who is going to tell / show/ correct me? I do agree on the "don't burn out through giving 100% all the time" part. But the rest is so abstract, that I find it hard to use it as advice for my daily life.

As with anything else, it's all trial and error baby. Lets say you put sports on the backburner, and you play once a week. A few weeks go by, and you feel like you're getting a lot worse, then turn it up a bit. Or if a few weeks go by and you feel like you could do less and still maintain your skill, then try that. Over time you'll learn what your body and mind can handle, and what it takes to maintain or improve the various aspects of your life

Applying this so pragmatically to something emotional like keeping relationships with your family, I find this quite the hot take. Like it's a video game like the sims. Though for one's own skills, yes I find this applicable.

It's kinda crazy how well this aligns with my experience. I tend to try to catch multiple rabbits at once simply because I am curious. But every time I stop and go ham on one skill (keeping the others as rest periods so-to-speak) then I level up much more.

@@DanielBro42 For me, my rabbits are: E-commerce (I've engaged in this several times with success) Creating social media accounts and selling PDFs (Accomplished and ongoing) Reading(At 21 years old, I aim to absorb as much knowledge as possible before turning 25.) Learning a language: I have been learning Russian for over 365 days. Learning a musical instrument: I know playing an instrument enhances the brain functionality and i am practicing piano for over 3 months. Learning AI: I'm aware that AI will soon dominate the world, and I'm eager to understand its concepts. Relationships: I've been in monk mode for an extended period and haven't pursued a relationship, despite being more than capable in terms of flirting skills and appearance. I'm not troubled by solitude, but I recognize the importance of forming connections. Every one of them looks important and i don't know which one i can give over, i am confused. My current work plan is as follows: - 4 hours dedicated to creating Instagram content and e-books (this is my main source of income and 4 hours daily suffices) - 2 hours for reading and research - 1 hour for AI learning - 30 minutes for learning Russian - 30 minutes for piano practice This schedule seems be well-balanced to me, idk.

I realized this in my final semester of college. This EE class was crushing me, but it was the last one I needed to get the minor. I was majoring in CS, and would much rather use the energy to do well in my CS classes, but I still wanted to say that I had a minor in Electrical Engineering. A week before the first exam in that class, I dropped it. That semester, I got all As and I got 2 job offers. I definitely don't regret dropping the minor. If I don't truly care about EE, and employers don't care if I minor in EE, then there truly was little to gain. It is truly a powerful feeling to say no when the time is right.

I have found that I like to rotate the MRVs every week. that way I can take a break from one skill but maintain it and work hard on another skill. Skills like guitar and drawing can be kept on MV for a couple of week while I rotate studying for certification and sysadmin knowledge, then I can push my guitar or drawing skills for a week or two to take a break from learning work stuff. when life gets crazy I can put everything on MV and relax and deal with the crazy. But i maintain the skills or knowledge so I don't have to start over again. I also maintain the schedule for working on the skills so that I can pick up where i left off without having to change my life again. Good video, gave me a new way to think about the way I do things already. Thanks
@schraderclemens6122
@schraderclemens6122 8 месяцев назад
I disagree. And for several personal and scientifically proven reasons. First, there is a huge motivational boost that you get from the feeling of improvement. So it might only take you 1 or 2 hours of more time input per week (which is for example just 15 minutes per day) to go from maintaining to improving in your secondary skills, which will keep you a lot more likely to stick to your plan while also being a lot more fun (and actually getting better at them as well, obviously). Also the work that you do between the MV and MEV is often not that much and also the most effective way that you can use your time. You get the most bang for your buck. Like with everything there is diminishing returns with more time spent on a thing. This most likely also follows the Pareto Principle. That means you get 80% of the potential improvement from the first 20% of time that you put in. So you could spend the other 80% of the time on getting the last 20%, or just do 5 different things for 20% and get 80% of the output in all of them. In Neuroscience, specifically the optimal way to study and learn, there is also the concept of interleaving. That means it is better and more effective to study (or in this case practice a skill) multiple different things dispersed throughout your bouts of work than doing just one thing the whole time. Ultimately, I think that for >95% of people it's probably advantageous to do multiple things. If you want to become elite or world-class in a certain thing, then sure, do that thing almost all day, every day. For everyone else, I think it's bad advice. And even most elite athletes only really train there sport for a couple hours of the day, while doing ancillary workouts or skill trainings during the rest of the time, while also having enough time to live life and pursuing other hobbies, family, business, other sports, etc.
@schraderclemens6122
@schraderclemens6122 8 месяцев назад
Also, there is often easy and time saving ways to incorporate many things into your life. For example, instead of eating dinner alone, go eat with your family or friends. Want to work on your fitness or cardio, incorporate them throughout the day. Take calls while going on a walk. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Use a learning app during your commutes. Listen to podcasts while cleaning or doing any chores or mundane tasks. There is thousands of examples for this. For most people it's more of an efficiency thing than a time thing. Most people have enough time for most of their hobbies, or things/skills they want or need to do. Most people don't understand optimal training or improvement, however. They don't know how hard they could actually go, be it in the gym or any sport, or during mental work when they could focus much deeper and just actually focus on the work instead of bullshitting around.
@TomMc-ln8vw
@TomMc-ln8vw 7 месяцев назад
You have like a mentality of David Goggin's which used to do certain things to push the limits without getting burnout. You actually building your mental toughness by that. But i don't think it is the optimal way to achieve your goals. Although you're building mental toughness while pushing the limits, you have to think about that everything should be done in moderation. Also, some of your examples can actually certain parts of your brain worst because of overstimulation. I learned this from Dr. Andrew Huberman. Stacking two things at a time can deplete your dopamine levels, leading to do other things ineffectively over time. We are programmed to do or focus on one thing at a time and are not to stack two or multiple things at a time. Even though you build your own mental toughness to do certain things beyond the limits or exceed the MEV (I think because you don't want to be an average), it is important to give 80%-85% of your energy rather than exceeding your physical's limit. Less is more, just move constantly. Stay strong!

the yt algo know me so well I'm getting scared as I came up with the exact conclusion while I was recently started studying to get an IT certification; I was hitting the gym after work and it takes most of my time and energy so are the family reunions on weekends and meetups with friends you easily get exhausted, overwhelmed and feel like there isn't enough time to do anything. I ended up: - doing less sets at gym (bare minimum to get it's physical and mental benefits and give time for body to recover) - family reunions to zero or one time a week - instead of meetups i stick to exchanging with friends online - reduced my gaming time to 0 (I'd watch friends play online for a short time to make the feeling go away) Remember that to take no action is an action in and of itself and always remind yourself that you're a human being, not a machine so you need to be way more smart and efficient in how you allocate your resources (time, energy, willpower and others)

The family relationships always need a 3 mv time even though you said we can change it. By the time we reach 69th level it will take months, years and some even decades to get to it depending on profession. Who knows when the lightning would strike what would happen to them or you. There is a chance that you might die this very second so it’s important that you reduce mv for all other tasks without reducing Main thing focus but keep more mv’s for family time because it’s that valuable. No profession is bigger for sacrificing your spiritual growth and mental health. Invest on it better for a better you

Why not apply some MRV to the other things from time to time, for example most of the time MV and once in a while MRV. That way you could improve something you want and then just mantain it. Once one adquires an skill is difficult to lose it if you do some maintenance from time to time. For the example of the family a MV is visiting once a week, but once a month you could spend 2 days(SAT, SUN) but with better quality time. Just thinking out loud.

Institute chews up a lot of my free time + gets you exhausted of not understanding things or teachers that doesn't understand that we have Other teachers too, so they just throw hugeass projects at us, making me more exhausted. I find peace in playing games, but if I'll change that to a different habit, there'll be no good emotions left. I'll be just a lifeless puppet, going to Institute over almost every day to learn that most half of my specialty doesn't even have damn Physics, History and Social studies. It's that feeling that you know everything, but couldn't get to work on it, because of all this headache I've been going through. The question is: Am i ready to become a non-emotional person just to get smarter at my studies that I'll probably never use ever again in my life? I dunno.

Is there any book in the market which goes more into the details of what you just talked about and by the way amazing content, You grabbed my attention from the very first second and now I am your subscriber and will be waiting for more content in the future 😁

Thank you! You can just search Mike Israel and MV, MEV etc on google and RU-vid. I also linked his book in the description. He also touched upon that these concepts can be applied in other areas in life too, but the specific information from my video is based upon my personal experimentation and how I visualise it in my head

I get the fundamental idea, but this is not applicable to “life”. Whoever want’s to try this go ahaed I don’t want to nay say, sure it’s applicable for some areas (piano, gym), but you can’t measure everything in your life. You have finite muscles, you can estimate the calories you take in and burn, you can count the reps, sets weights etc. But how can you quantify your family “score”? And there’s not just family, how do you quantify mental health, relationships, love life, etc. How can you measure that giving up those will actually save you energy/willpower? For carreer absolutely this ais a well rounded piece, but for ones whole life, this can’t cover half of it.
