I have being an apartment maintenance technician for 8 years I really appreciate the good work you do Keep posting videos like this they are very helpful
The dishwasher door has two brown rubber seals on the left and right side. They get all gunked up with crud and allow the dishwasher door to leak. You can pull them out, clean them in the sink and put them back in. Enjoyed the video.
Yes you can, but many times they are pretty dried up. You can try cleaning them, but if they still leak you can take a picture of the plate that has the model number and serial number and show it to the guys at an appliance parts store and they can sell you a new set. Thanks for commenting.
The sink drains into the dishwasher when the garbage disposal is seized up causing water to pool up in the bottom of the dishwasher and overflow out the bottom of the door. It’s a really common problem but people don’t know and think it’s the dishwasher that’s broken. So they will stop using the dishwasher and wash their dishes in the sink not realizing all the water is just running down into the dishwasher and out onto their floor 😂
You're right!! And usually that happens when the dishwasher drain line is not installed correctly, you always want to make sure that it doesn't just drop directly from the disposal to the machin. It has to loop up as high as possible under the sink and then drop to the dishwasher. Otherwise sink water will be backflowing into the dishwasher because of gravity....thanks for your comment!!
From what I could tell It was missing a seal on the left side of the dishwasher. I always have to replace those at my property so when we install new dishwashers we keep the seals by the corners of the door so it doesnt leak out...
I was trying to pull the striker closer to the door so the door latch would catch on it. I think a longer screw would really 🤔 help achieve that. But I'll look into it, you may be seeing something I missed. Thanks for your comment.
