My dad and I had a construction business for over a decade, the double up on wax ring was a common practice for us as it insured us and the customer that there would be no leaking in the future. Great tip. People who frown on that need to get their heads out their butts. Its a common thing to do when one wax ring isnt sealing properly.
I do HVAC & commercial kitchen service but always love to learn more and your videos have helped expand my knowledge. If you ever still get complaints after using triple D cleaner they make a no rinse evap cleaner by nucalgon that we’ve had great success with. Even if you use the Triple D first and just spray some of the nucalgon no rinse cleaner after it always gives it a fresh smell. I’ve found it helpful to always have a few cans around as a back up just in case the triple D doesn’t do it. Keep up the vids just found your channel a week ago and have been catching up on all the videos.
Hey man, love the videos, only thing I would have done on that toilet differently is fixed the flange or added a Oatey flange spacer or two to fix the flange so its raised above the flooring/tile. I've seen guys do the double wax ring before, not saying it won't stop the leak but eventually the wax will break down and it will leak again. Again, just throwing some tips to a fellow maintenance tech!! Keep up the great work!!
if youre allergic to weeds and thistles like me, watching him grab that big ass weed made me itch! haha that would swell me up for a week. man even if youre not maintenance the amount of man knowledge here love the vlogs!
Holy Mother of Ferncos lol. Good job with the toilet wax ring. Mystery leaks can be fun or absolute torture on some days. Anytime i cant figure something out, it's always nice to put fresh eyes on it.
I use the Saniseal waxless toilet gasket. It is good for situations where the closet flange is below floor level and a lot more forgiving than wax if the toilet moves. Only drawback three times the cost of wax but a labor saver.
Had a similar issue today, leak was right above the tub same problem with the unit above having nothing overflowing no obvious leaks, so we opened up the shower handle and sure enough found the spindle was leaking
Am so glad to come across your works sir,, I really enjoying doing this this job and i experience in this job for 4 years i which I can have a chance to work with you or in your company
I would like a link to the spray bottle and brush you use on the a/c fins and pan. Start an Amazon link to the products/tools you use to get a little kick back!
HD supply. We will get you your whole order but it's gonna come from multiple locations and only partial orders at any given time. We may even meet it up to make sure you get stuff from 2 orders and no packing slip enclosed sticker. That was my day after lunch today. But hey got a thermostat in for a fridge I've been waiting on and a defrost timer for my own fridge so I don't have to manually advance it into defrost every morning and night.
@@ApartmentMaintenancePro it's not so bad really. Allows for you to clear work orders as they come in one by one instead of getting them all at once and trying to get them all done as fast as possible.
I use double wax all the time but without the funnel. If you set a toilet and don't feel it sink into the wax you should pull it back off and look. The guy that set that toilet screwed up.
This was an interesting one, you definitely stay busy! Does all that lint still build up in your dryer if you clean it after every use? Do you always work in that same building or do you travel around to other buildings?
Hey, that lint was probably 20 years of build up. I’m a multi site floater and work about 8-9 properties. Whoever is the most short handed is where i work 👍
Gonna get crap for this huh? I see what you did there. Sometimes you just gotta improvise adapt and overcome. On occasion I've used the larger wax rings and had them work but sometimes you just gotta use 2 rings.
