Waitī and Waitā are the twin sister stars that are apart of the Matariki stars which in English terms is the 7 sisters that sit in the sky.. The 7 stars that are sitting close together in the sky.. My daughter is named Waitā after one of those twin sisters.. Hopefully this helps u understand our language more.. Thank you for sharing with us x

She's talking about the two stars of the Matariki( it's a constellation) Waiti and Waita are responsible for fresh water and salt water. This is a Maori version of the peleaides star constellation. Google it under Dr Rangi Matamua. Journey well
