We stayed in one of these a few days before lockdown occurred. The pool is ice cold in the swim out suites. Seriously, not worth the money we spent here. They do ALOT of cost cutting measures. I’ve stayed at Rui Palace and at Excellence Resorts next door which I loved. Also had some trash people walk straight across our pool wall to other rooms!
Sorry you had a less than desirable time! I enjoyed the resort, but I’m sure the lockdown had something to do with your experience. I was in Puerto Vallarta right before lockdown too and occupancy was only 25%, so my experience would be different than when it’s full capacity. I’m personally not a RIU fan, but I love Excellence and Secrets Resorts. The swim outs in the sun were warm. I stayed in both 3000 block (freezing and no sun) and 4000 block (full sun and warmer) ☀️😊
We’re going in February. Was wondering if you’d answer a few questions. Is there a way to gain entrance from the patio? In other words, if you leave the room through the pool, is there a way to lock the patio door and come back in that way or do you have to walk around to the front door? Literature I’ve read and pictures show 4 bottles of liquor in the room. So there’s only one? How about beach loungers and cabanas. Doesn’t look like they have them, yet? Lastly, would you, in your opinion say that they were ready to open, or do you think there are still a lot of details for them to complete. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
John Yingling hi! No way to lock from outside. It originally was 4 mini bottles of well liquor and now it is one full bottle of premium liquor. Plenty of beach seating. I will post a video on here soon. They needed much more time to open, the craftsman ship really suffered, but the wait staff is excellent
Hello, I'm currently looking to book this hotel in November but Im a bit skeptical after reading plenty of review that mentioned that the hotel wasnt "ready" when they opened. In your opinion do you think that they are "ready"? Also, do you have any videos or pics of a plunge pool room? Thanks in advance.
Hi Shanna, I have the plunge pool video further down my channel. The resort will have been open a year next month, I believe most things are now in working order.
Do you have any bar service at all? Just got back from Finest next door and swim up rooms in club area had bars nearby and waiters. But tooooo many kids in this resort for this grandma
