What was your amount pr each denominator for a 500 set?

@@oh5186 For my set it was: 100 x $0.25 150 x $1 100 x $5 100 x $10 50 x $25 I added on 15 x $100 plaques and 1 x $500 plaque just to have it. In hindsight, I probably would have dropped the $10 chips entirely and gone with 50 more each of the $1 and $5. I mostly used these for a cash game which ran for about six years.

You can always play at a ratio. I usually play 5/10 - 25/50 games with my main crew, so I have higher denomination chips. So when I have friends that want play without gambling $5,000, I'll play the chips at a ratio of 100:1. If you buy in for $20 you get $2,000 in chips

laid out flat , BTW. I think stacked they would not get the air circulation.

You probably already made a decision, but it should be noted that the Milanos are made out of genuine compression molded kaolinite while the Majestics/Pharaohs are made out of composite plastic. Hopefully, that helps sway a/your decision one way or the other.

@@levipospichal8521 the prices got horrible, majestics are 0.79 for me now .... i might still go for them though, ordered a few different samples of china clays and ceramics.

Other than coloring, the edge spots are copies on each.

Sounds like the factory might have been running low on ink. There is a bi-linear gradient across the chips which shows up on the text/graphics you can see it in the video but it sounds like you are talking excessive ink fading? Sometimes when these printing devices get low on ink a bi-linear gradient becomes excessive. How does the background look, is that faded too? I love hearing about people's experience with these chips. If anyone else has experienced fading let us all know. Unless this is UV fading, I don't think there is anything to be done. LOL. Since you wrote this comment, the Game On Chip Company is no longer in business. But an excellent alternative is BR Pro Poker.

Paulson chips are no longer sold to the general public, so there's no sense in trying to pursue a set (unless you're exceedingly rich). However, to honor the spirit of your original question, Paulson chips are made in Mexico.

That is such a tough call. Do they have the CPS chips in stock? Personally, I like the CPS chips because they are the only China clay that I know of with that interesting, but not perfect, texture. This is a win, win decision. Right now, I'm leaning toward CPS if they have enough in stock. Good, tough question. Hope that helps.

Yes, thank you. Personally I also like the CPS Chips more, but currently the 5K Chips are out of stock at Apachepokerchips.com so I think I will take the Majestics because I like those too. :)

By the way, do you know any place to buy any Paulson Chips? (Except the Isthmus Chips, I got those ;) )

@Hobbyphilic, Hi you should try the Monte Carlo chips. The weight, the sound of the clacking, as well as the inlay shiny holographic sticker is really really impressive.

+Hobbyphilic I'm planning on getting a set of 600. The price difference for 600 chips is only about $20 more for the Majestics. I think that's what I'll do. I did order a little 25 chip sample of both though to check out first. I'll post my final decision later. Thanks John!

+William White ...Milanos had ridiculous variation in chip thickness by color. Stacks of 20 in each color... some were more than 1 chip's thickness different. They were "unplayable" imo. They also didn't fit uniformly in racks, even special racks designated for china clays. Just wanted to give you the heads up.

+xSovereign Of all the chip reviews on Milano's I have watched, I have never heard anyone make that complaint of major chip thickness issues. John Hobby's reviews on Majestics and Milanos basically pointed out that both sets have similar minor thickness issues - that is common among pretty much all china clays. I got 25 black $100 chips of both the Milanos and Majestics and have been playing with them. I have to say, the Majestics are extremely slippery and have major "spinner" issues. When I stack 25 high and attempt to spin the stack, the Majestics spin on almost every chip and slide around too easily in my opinion. The Milano have a bit more of a "chalky" feel to them. I had much fewers "spinners" with the Milanos and when stacked 25 tall, the stack was much more stable and felt less likely to slide and topple than the Majestics. Before getting the samples, I kind of had my mind made up (based on watching reviews) that I'd go with the Majestics. However, after seeing, using, and handling both chips, I much prefer the Milanos. That's just my opinion and I'm not an expert.

+William White I'm happy your milano's don't have a problem. I still have pictures of 20 stacks of 8 different colors with evidence of their preposterously different thicknesses. I was issued a full refund from the vendor of the milanos after showing proof and fighting with them on the phone for hours on multiple occassions. I really really wanted to love the milanos, because I liked that chalky feel, classy look and nice sound. But when stacks are entirely different heights they were unplayable to me. I ended up ordering a full set of custom CPS chips from PGI. Much better on the thickness issue, and its really cool to have my own designed sticker "inlays". Expensive though! I'm happy with the CPS customs, but if I could do it all over again from scratch I'd probably just get China Clay Pharoah's and call it a day, for the price. Multiple edgespot design is just too cool. Majectics would be second place, and I wouldn't touch Milanos for half price at this point after my experience. Maybe they fixed the mold in the past year or whatever. Hope your milano set ends up being everything I hoped mine would be!

Just to clarify, I'm asking because I'm wondering if it's just my sample set or if you see the same thing in your larger set.

+William White Yeah, I just checked, mine do that too. Some stacks are worse than others. I compared them to Milanos. While close, I think the Majestics are slightly worse. Great observation, thanks for the comment, I forgot to do the flatness testing.

+Hobbyphilic I just compared the Milanos and Majestics side by side (25 stack of black $100 chips each). Literally every Majestic spins. None of the Milanos spins. To me that means a lot because I like stacking my chips 40 high. Majestics won't cut it for me. To spinny and slippery. Unrelated side note, I also just got a 25 stack of Tiki ceramics to try out. Love them. No spinners there either.

..want to add that china clays like the Milanos or Majestic is good enough considering the price point though. The think the clay material is way better than many other so called 'clay composite' chips out there.. Slippery with dull colors, sounds horrible and with a nice, cheap plastic feel. I'd rather save my money for a year. :)
