I had my doubts about doing this myself, but I thought, what the Hell! It took about 2 hours. I removed more than I should with the caliper as it came apart. You only need to remove 2 bolts for it. The axle nut was a bit of a challenge, so I went out and bought a 3-way lug wrench (SAE, not metric) as you need 7/8". It worked like a charm. Putting everything back was fairly easy as well. Thanks for the video.
I'll be doing this to my 2007 Majesty 400cc soon. This video was helpful, thanks! 2 suggestions, if I may • completely remove the right shock. • support the weight of the disc brake caliper with a length of wire or zip tie to ensure no load/strain on the hydraulic hose. (I learned that the hard way on my old Honda 450.) Cheers, & safe riding!
Is there no wheel bearing that goes into that rear wheel? Or is it just the drive shaft? I've got a issue with mine and it's got play in the rear like needing a new wheel bearing but I can't find shit online for one.. it must be a bearing on the clutch side I'm thinking now..
Thanks for posting the video. Do you remember the size the axle nut? No one on the forums, YT or the Majesty subreddit mentions it. BTW if anyone else is removing tires for the 1st time, you’ll need a 14mm hex wrench for the front tire. It takes 40lbs of torque when tightening.
Thanks, I picked up a majesty but the rubber was old, going to change out the rear during the Christmas three day weekend... I hope the brake pads are still with a bit of meat as I'm finding delivery of parts kinda sketchy due to covid and out of production model.
DIY is difficult and motorcycle shops are expensive. I bought my tire online and took it to an automotive Tire store. They changed it for me at the same price as mounting an auto tire.
