Pardon my digression but my point is Harry had EVERY right to name his daughter Lilibet/ Lili even if it was after the reigning Monarch however that was not his motive. It’s common knowledge prior to Megxit, Harry was the Queen’s favorite grandson and for all we know that hasn’t changed. Nothing could be more fitting and appropriate than him naming his daughter after his beloved grandmother and if she has a heart in her chest she’s nothing but honored. As you said the Queen has to maintain the appearance that the Crown comes first and right now any positive sentiment toward the Sussexes infuriates their critics and impacts the popularity of the RF. No one could ever accuse her of not putting Crown and Country first but in the final analysis she is a woman, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother and great grandmother first and her family is her true legacy. It’s all quite sad that it doesn’t seem to resonate with many Americans besotted with the Firm that Lilibet Diana is the first member of the British Royal Family to be born on US soil. It doesn't seem to be in her genetics to be as comparatively thin as she is.
