We used to have a '64 bug that another guy had built. It looked stock, but it had a 455 olds toranado eng and trans sitting where the back seat used to be. Wish I'd kept that one.
Love Bug Maxwell some cars will come and go, There is always something about bugs that are special. I had a 1961 Beetle back in "78 for my first car still miss that car today:(
Great video Pete! This video reminds me of my love for my '63 VW Beetle I owned in the mid 1980s. It had the sliding vinyl sunroof. It was so fun to drive. I wish I still had it. It was the same year as Herbie...1963. Thanks for the video Pete!
I always wanted a 1960 bug with fold back sunroof. Had a chance to get on but had more bills then money would allow. There’s a lot of vw’s I wish I wouldn’t have got rid of but as we both know there’s always something else that needs tended to 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
The guy picking the car up was in the right to fully inspect and document the cars condition. He has to do that to protect his business and his insurance company may even require him to do a thorough inspection and to document it in photos as a way to protect from fraudulent claims of damage by anyone. He doesn't know Pete and neither does his insurance provider, and it would not matter even if he did. Documenting the inspection is a smart way to do business, and if Pete can't understand that, then I guess he's not as wise of a businessman as I had thought he was. Pete can be mad at me for saying the truth and can ban me from his channel if he wants or he can look at it from that drivers side and ask himself if he was in that guy's position and was picking up something for someone from someone he knows nothing about to deliver all the way across the country, wouldn't he want to document if there is any damage present before loading it up, or would he just take the other person's word that it is in perfect condition?
