@@genekostcruiser I have been on Harmony before I liked it. In fact I really do like Royal Caribbean Cruise Line!! I have only done Royal and Carnival as of now and Royal is my favorite. But cost wise Carnival was hard to beat. But I do feel like I’m treated better on Royal so theres that lol. But I haven’t been enough on Carnival to really compare yet.
I can't wait to see ship maps of these new huge ships. And I know you guys will be the first ones to post them because you LOVE your ship maps like I do.
100%!!! We are SO EXCITED to get our hands on the deck plans. And you KNOW we will do a complete deck-by-deck walkthrough the moment one of them gets posted somewhere. We'll likely also do a comparison video between one of the Oasis-class ships considering they'll be nearly identical in size. Sooooo much to look forward to! LOL -m
Oh, I think you're going to enjoy Jubilee! :) If nothing else, some of the design elements that they've put into the ship. It does take some time to get used to though, that's for sure. She's BIG compared to your typical Carnival ship. -m
Ooh. That's a great guess! Will be interesting to see what the ship names are, and how they actually look. We don't even know the class name yet, so there's still a lot left to be discovered!
Bigger isn't better, quality over size. Once something happens bad on a big ship people will not wanna sail on. Don't put all your people in one basket. I like the oasis class but after sailing several of them I prefer the mid size better less crowds and not as much walking a maze to get to parts on the ship.
That's a really great point- just because a ship is bigger, doesn't mean it's necessarily better. It'll be fascinating to watch what Carnival plans for these massive ships. We've been a fan of the Excel-class, but, like you, my favorite ship is right around Conquest-class, or maybe even Vista-class. :) -m
That's the hardest pill to swallow @BudMilligan8 - the ships are so much more expensive - and then there's a bunch of upcharge items on top of that. While we'll continue to check these big ships out, our heart likely lies with the mid-size ships (and our wallets appreciate that!) -m
As a diamond on Royal love it. Carnival almost Diamond, with a family of 6 kids thar what we cruised on. Love Msc Big and a Rolls royce in design. I stay away from new ships till the price comes down. With 10 cruises this last year I shop frugal.
@@autobotdiva9268 yes! We fully believe that there is a market for the Conquest-class, Spirit-class, and Sunshine-class! The ships are a wonderful size and allow them to access some off-limits spots for the mega ships. We’re not sure how long the remaining Fantasy-class ships have, but it’s our goal to get Rocky on one before they are gone!
As the 3 Vista class ships continue to be plagued with multiple engineering design flaws which prompted Carnival to cancel the last 3 Vista Class ships that were to be built, I am shocked they are returning to the Vista Class ship builder to design and build the new Carnival 8000 passenger Mega ships.
Hey there! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. :) Believe it or not, Fincantieri has built and delivered more than 75 ships for Carnival Corporation over the years! So the two companies have a very long history together. The propulsion issues that they continue to encounter seem to be specific/unique only to these 3 ships. What's really interesting: Fincantieri built two additional Vista sister ships for Costa Cruises (now Carnival Venezia and Carnival Firenze), and those ships haven't reported any of the same issues. While we don't know why the 3 Carnival Vista-class ships are impacted and others are not, I have a feeling Carnival and Fincantieri are well aware which is why we've not seen these issues since (thankfully!) Sorry for the long reply, but I've been geeking out over this for years now and the entire history is fascinating to me. I might be the only one... lol ;) Thanks again for watching and commenting! -Mark
Those smaller ships definitely seem to have more charm and personality in them. We'll be curious to see how Carnival delivers on such a large ship. And we agree with you about those smaller ships with the wrap around promenade decks.
