Major Early Game Milestone! Let's Enchant! | Minecraft 1.21 Chill Let's Play 

I talk a lot about a couple of comments I received last time, and I don't think I adequately explained what I meant. So, here it is. Basically, this channel has focused on tutorials for so long that most subscribers are here for tutorials, not let's plays. That is the main reason that I don't get a lot of views on let's plays. When videos are first published, the notifications go out to subscribers first, and since they're mostly here for tutorials, they don't watch. As a result, the lower click through rate signals the algorithm to not push the video out much at all to test groups. The other thing is that this is a series that has no cuts to the videos, and the slower more relaxed pace is not for everyone. And the fact that I build small builds in this series doesn't catch people's eyes very well. Viewers want big, impressive builds. That's reserved for the Labyrinthum series, which performs better and also has tighter editing, faster cuts, and a greater focus on getting a build done in each video. Those videos also tend to get pushed out to more people. One last reason that they don't perform as well is because I was inconsistent with uploading let's plays for a couple years due to burn out. That can really affect it. I am currently working on building up the let's play viewing audience. This series won't do it, but Labyrinthum can.

a lot of us are actually here because we enjoy watching. there are tutorial tubers, and watching your gameplay WILL help new players, but tutorials tend to show perfect, effortless and highly unentertaining gameplay unlike yours which is authentic, largely unrehearsed, and has all the normal missteps we all do. it's your willingness to show actual gameplay (warts and all) that's the greatest assistance to new players (and for the rest of us nodding and saying to ourselves, "been there")...

...by the way: take a lantern down (or a sea pickle, glowstone, etc.) with you when you go real deep underwater and set it down next to your work for viewers to see what's down there

I enjoy the slow format. Do think it may help you to do basic resource gathering off camera. Just save the diamonds to mine during the recording session. Or you can do a long “no commentary” resource gathering episode for us to fall asleep or work/study to. It’s niche.
