Ganondorf doesn’t beat characters. Ganondorf beats players. It doesn’t matter if Ganondorf has a -2 matchup against your character if he’s got the +3 matchup against your mental state.
Your character may be number one, but at the end of the day Ganondorf is one of the worst characters to fight when you lose your composure. Seeing how Era reacted to his first stock loss made it obvious Major had the mental edge.
Major just picked some great options in a scramble. It was really impressive. His wiz kick off of the anvil later in the game was so unexpected. The confidence to stand and hold that up smash was what really got in Eras head. Great show!
You picked the best character in the game, grinded it a lot, and still managed to lose to the only unviable character in the game??? Nah, bro, that's a massive L
it soo sad how much potential is wasted with ganon. hes one of the ultimate villains of any video game series and they make him ultra trash. been praying for some major buffs for like 8 years and now well never see the lord of evil the way he should be.
@@theillusionist1494 yeah no even understanding the hurt box extension it made my brain bleed processing Steve’s hit box distance. Like you see some moves where Nintendo has so clearly over engineered the 3-D nature of the characters in relation to the hit boxes, where certain moves can pass through the legs of a character doing a taunt animation. And yet a pic swinging down which you think “the point of the pick is what delivers the damage” seems to smash out 3 feet in front of itself. And it’s like “oh OK Steve moment”
I know a large part of the community is sick of Steve, but as someone who's only recently come back to watching Smash I just gotta enjoy the wacky stuff that goes on in MUs like this.
@@Mindgaminguat least youre smart to see thru the Steve circle jerk. Character is only good cuz he's anti meta (sheik, fox, joker type characters) make him face a zoner or heavyweight and hes high tier at best.

Okay... so why didn't the steve player ever edge guard? Like, you're against _ganondorf._ And when he's offstage trying to recover, you just stay on stage and mine? Maybe put a couple blocks to try to block the recovery which worked a grand total of once? Just hit him lmao
Kinda tired of commentators talking down about gannondorf, any character can be good in this game with enough effort put into them and this set backs that theory up
That Steve made endless mistakes he gave ganon too much respect and got lost in the darkness that radiates with THE KING OF EVIL. But like ganondorf sucks data wise. A good play can kick ass with him but Major isn’t carrying this character to any heights but our hearts
How are you going to act like a dick towards someone you don’t know personally just because of character selection? You and everyone else in the comment section hating needs to get a life and learn smash isn’t everything and people can have fun with the game regardless of skill or results.
