Not really. To be honest their coverage this year has been piss poor. The first half of the season, pre World Cup, they didn't even show one game a week. Plus not everyone has NBC Sports, so there's that on top. ESPN's soccer coverage is light years ahead of NBC. To be fair though, FOX hosting some soccer doesn't exactly excite me.
***** More like once they got EPL rights, NBC stopped giving a care anymore. They had the elite Europe league, why settle with the American pack that Beckham isn't even in anymore?
***** NBCSN has been better to MLS than ESPN or Fox ever was. It's not like everyone has ESPN and Fox Sports 1, and it's not like MLS was/will be on ABC(last TV deal, not the original) or FOX.
***** It's not that far off. 68% of all Americans with a TV have NBCSN avaliable vs the 85% ESPN. Also, you're talking about ESPN as if its free terrestrial. ESPN never cared about MLS and put the games on ESPN2.
