Major rainfall and flooding headed for UK 

Apparently the tornado that hit Aldershot yesterday was so powerful it blew someone's bin over.

So basically if you live south of the Watford gap then hide away in your cellars and pray to what ever deity you believe in. For everyone else, it might be getting close to a time to break out a sweater.

Just today (Saturday) here in the West Midlands we had one of THE most intense storms I can ever remember . The torrential rain became hail for a short while and the rain came down for over an hour. The road flooded and began cascading down the drives opposite. The thunder was ear-splitting. What extraordinary weather.

At this moment in time I'm sitting right under a huge storm here in Derby and it is persisting it down, and only an hour ago we had blue skies and sunshine....

Well in my Russia we are brace for another mobilization drive. So UK is a luckyness😔

Where does British Weather Services get their weather information from? Do they have a global network of weather stations and massive computing power like the meteorological office?

It's autumn time, the weather gets colder, the nights darker, more rainfall, etc. It happens every year!

The BBC said it would not rain today in Kent but it did. I had just finished mowing the lawn too. I would rather we had warnings than no warnings at all, so we can plan better. If we have a storm tomorrow and it looks like that I am going to have a storm party inside my house. I have Covid so it will be on my own.

Unreported Tornado hits Aldershot.

FFS this is climate crisis! This has been predicted for more than 100 years and we have chosen to ignore the warning signs. Now we are right in the middle of this crisis. It’s not even funny.l

We get warnings here in the states. A tornado watch means, conditions are right for formation. A tornado warning, means there has already been 1 sighted, so assume 1 could drop down or blow in at any moment. Watch the storm chaser videos over here, if you're curious! Unfortunately, our NOAA Storm Prediction Center doesn't cover the globe..Do be aware though, when a tornado is rain-wrapped, it won't look like one..just looks like violent rain, and you won't figure it out until it's too late. Just be aware, is all! And get the animals to safety as best as you can

Dale is never right about any weather event other than the obvious maps and his predictions are always way out so you'd be foolish to believe this.

Getting harder to predict the weather. Even thoe Ai now plots out precise course to Mars.

tough to do forecasts? but you got all these super computers that run these defective models that get it wrong time and time again. we now live in the age of fear mongering, all these warnings we get to expect the worse! years gone by it was heavy rain, strong/ gale force winds its called nature. it is funny that the jet stream doesn't get mentioned a lot in the UK, that is a big influence on our weather but its hardly mentioned, you can judge as to what weather we are going to get. like I know if Hurricane systems get up to New York area in America, then 5 days later we are going to get its remnants hit the UK, and guess what? i know its going to be wet and windy! bit like in the winter if we get Northerly/Easterly Wind it's going to get cold and snow! if we get Southerly winds in the summer its going to be hot! And I not got any letters before my name or after it, but even i know that! but saying that i was taught from a young age how to read the sky and a barometer! its just a shame i never logged my observations down. People should start learning this old school stuff, it will surprise you! and it would be fun for kids to learn this, they could then be informed about the weather themselves. It is time to stop this fear mongering.
