This video is still unclear as to how it is supposed to appear on your end if your text was read after being sent. The video lacks clarity of explanation.

But I didn’t see your phone “slam” or identify that the message was read after you pushed to read the message on the other phone! Did I miss something? 🤔

You’re misunderstanding what is going on… it does not work like a read receipt the replay will only pop up if you send another message or they do, so your last with effect won’t so replay until either party sends another text. So no, this does not work as you describe.

I just tried this and it never worked? I am legally blind and I believe that it is insulting to have these read receipts turned off. The fact that someone sent you a message and took the time to send you a message and you just turned these off shows that you have a lot to hide. If someone really doesn't want to be bothered then they should have a focus turned on. One thing about the focus is it should be set up so if no one can get through when you turn your focus on everyone who is in your contacts that has an iPhone should get an alert in real-time that you turned a certain focus on and if one of your contacts or favorites have been the ability to break through when they get their notification? I used to be an Android user and just got an iPhone and now I am seeing how Apple users can not only screw over Android users but they even screw over their own users as well?
