After buying the pumpkin patch farm a year ago there has been a project list that I have been wanting to tackle. With the really nice spring, we were able to knock out one of the projects and get set up for the net one!

iowANFarmer, Ben Van Roekel, is a 2nd generation farmer in southern Iowa. His goal on RU-vid is to showcase what young farmers have to offer to the agricultural community. He hopes to give the general public a glimpse into what life is like on an American corn, soybean, and hay operation. The channel will focus on farming equipment, repairs, precision ag, and daily operations on the farm. Join him in his daily trials and tribulations in the changing agricultural environment.

90 🙏😢 my Dad died a little before his 90th birthday two years ago in April on Good Friday that year. You won’t ever need reminders for those days in your lifetime. You guys look dry there,I see an early planting date !! ??? what is the chain on the right side of the plow used for guys 🤦‍♂️😂? Congratulations you TWO on the Award!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I've really been surprised that you haven't put a hydraulic thumb on your small excavator. It does look like you are learning to work around it. Another good video. The only problem with your videos Ben... there aren't enough of them!

Ben, I’ve never seen a drip system using drainage tile. Now between my brother and I we have 2200 acres of drip tape. If you’re wanting to irrigate a small spot for your pumpkins, and you have well water? That’s how I’d do it. Because we can irrigate 70 acres on 40gpm very easy. You need a little pressure to get it to go. Then just figure out your row spacing, length of your run. I’d get a hold of a eco-drip salesman. Maybe they will give you a special for doing a little advertising.
