Awesome I have been out of a paid job since Oct 2022, took me 18months to get my 1st client on Upwork. So its - ALL IN FOR ME. On my 4th client now and changing my strategy. Thanks Abid for this, most appreciated.
I like this approach and I know you will be successful the minute you said "ALL IN FOR ME" This is the only approach to be successful on Upwork. It is too competitive now to just do this part-time and expect to be successful
Great insight into upwork's new strategy. Thank you for the timely message. I am 20 year experienced management consultant just signed into up work 3 months back. My dilemma is that I charge 150 an hour to my clients outside, and whether I can charge the same in upwork too? Or should I charge less to land the first gig? Been a struggling to land a first project owing to lack to reviews. You have any suggestions for me please?
I want you to do the following strategy. Apply for $5 research or survey jobs. Do 3 of these types of jobs. When they hire you make sure to tell them you need a review at the end. Once you have 3 reviews to your profile, this will give your profile a bit of credibility. From here, start applying for jobs in the $30 - $40 range. Do 3-4 of these jobs. This will give you credibility in your field. From here, you can work your way up to your desired range.
