@@almondtofu707 Not to mention how he seems to know unsettlingly much about Link, and is the first face to greet you after turning back time - seeming to know that things are different even though the timeline was reset. Honestly, I can't help but think this dude doesn't exist within normal time.
One reason I LOVE this game is that unlike the others, there's this underlying creepy tone like this scene, yet some scenes in this game are quite jovial like the stuff in town. There's an unsettling atmosphere about most of this game, which I found to be quite enjoyable.
@@tailsrhtatonslice1418 i dont think what the other guy said is true. Twilight Princess is dark in its own right, but i do think the darkness of Twilight Princess is not as subtle as it is in Majora's Mask. Example: several floating Ilias who have misplaced their eyes, gently falling upside down from the void during Link's acid trip nightmare.
The way he suddenly clips between poses and location with no movement in between would normally feel off but for him they fit so hilariously well. Especially when he starts playing a giant piano that just appears out of nowhere and is never seen again, I absolutely love it.
That quote he says, “Believe In your strengths...believe...” has followed me all throughout my life. Man Zelda games have shaped me and helped me so much in life ♥️
Where the hell did that giant piano come from! How does he carry that huge thing? Link's ocarina is one thing, being it transforms based on his form, but that is incomprehensible! I wonder what other secrets he's hiding...
So, this random creepy guy who you meet at a store has been stalking you for who knows how long and tells you to get his mask back and he'll turn you back into you're original form but if you don't he'll pretty much go bi polar on you and shake you repeatedly?
The strange powers and movement is kinda suspicious, but him being violently hot headed doesn't really mean he is evil. He is more violent in Majora's Mask, mostly because he is panicing in a way, knowing the mask is still out there. And in Oot, he gets angry for not getting all his money, which is kinda excusable, but he is kinda being threatening towards a child. His tempermant is kinda suppose to be irony, because he is a happy salesman, you expect him to be that way all the time, he's not.
“You’ve met a terrible fate haven’t you?” This person knows exactly what a terrible fate the Hero of time suffered.. I mean forcefully getting sent back to the child timeline without anyone knowing him or any of his accomplishments and even after he decides to wander around and save Termina nobody remembers him so he continues to wander not finding a worthy successor or pupil which he could pass his knowledge too ultimately resulting in his death yet his spirit still lingers unable to move on becoming the Hero's shade that we know from Twilight Princess. Finally at long last he finds a worthy successor a new Hero whose mentor he becomes and is finally able to move on. The story of the Hero of Time truly is incredibly sad..
I like to imagine he's some kind of immortal multi-universal traveler of some sort. He does mention escaping Termina before the three days are up after all. I like to further imagine that he's the exact same person as Rupin from Skyward Sword. It would be quite a fascinating story to see how he went from a trader on Skyloft to whatever it is he has since become.
Happy Mask Salesman-- can switch poses without making any movements in between, can pull gigantic organs out of nowhere and make them disappear, is prone to frequent (and violent) mood swings, and can feel the heavy evil aura that emanates from Majora's mask-- Link, do you REALLY want to give this guy that mask? Isn't he creepy enough WITHOUT it?!
I mean people rag on this guy for shakin link like that, but tbf if you lost a relic that had the ability to end the world, and it was it some random kids hands, and the one person you trusted in returning it failed, the reaction is actually pretty calm.
@@hiveanimations8685 ig yu could say that the happy mask salesman couldnt have known abt him being the hero of hyrule, since the biggest things he accomplished were in the adult timeline which never happened after link stops it from happening- but i mean the happy mask salesman is a strange character, hes already shown that he can do things like teleport and move into other timelines- he probs knows a lot more than he lets on-
aww i feel so sorry for the happy mask salesman i want to hug him (note: he's based off of the game's creator shigeru miyamoto, miyamoto even said at one time before he got into the gaming biz, he wanted to do puppetry)
It’s always that quote that bothers me ever since I first played this game… “you’ve met with a terrible fate havent you’… I don’t know why but these words send chills down my spine…
Bro I was like 7 when I played and beat this game 100 percent it. I even had the strategy guide for it and this man always scared the shit out of me but I always powered through it because I thought to myself....what would link do. God I love this game but I must admit I think it might have been a bit to early for me to play it. 😂
Yeah. This guy is a freak. No joke. Strangling little children and making them do his dirty work? How nice of him. Btw, the deku mask reminds me of Birdo. :P
THE MOON IS ABOUT TO DESTROY A WHOLE ENTIRE TOWN AND YOU ARE JUST CONCERNED ABOUT THAT TIME WHERE I SHAKED A CHILD WHO HAS ENDURED FAR WORST LIKE LITERALLY DEATH?!
to me the creepiest part about him is that he's unaffected by the song of time. the only other characters like that (apart from link and tatl) are the giants. not even skull kid or majora are unaffected by the song of time
