After 18 days of tragic Nimati Ghat ferry accident of September 8 which led to the death of 3 passengers.An E-ticketing portal for Majuli-Nimati ferry services was launched by Assam IWT Department on September 27.
To book an online ticket for Majuli-Nimati Ferry Services, passengers can register at the portal asiwt.in/ and enter their details followed by entering the source of journey and destination, selection of ferry, followed by payment. The generated E-Ticket is downloadable.

How to reach Nimati Ghat from Jorhat ???
First you have to reach Jorhat town via Roadway, Airway or by Railway. Jorhat town is situated in the middle of #Assam #india .
Roadway- Buses are available from all the major cities to Jorhat town. After reaching Jorhat ISBT, you have to reach Boruah Chariali or Old Public bus stand near Chowk Bazar via via share taxi, auto or any other mode of transport. Then you have to take Share Taxi to Nimati Ghat, which take approximately half an hour to reach Nimati Ghat. (Reserve Taxi i.e. sumo / magic / maximo / auto / Bolero / innova etc. is also available) First, you reach the Nimati Aphalamukh ferry terminal then Nimati Kamalabari ferry terminal. Now You can take your ferry according to your ticket.
Railway - Trains are available from all the major cities to Mariani Railway Junction or Jorhat town railway station. After reaching Mariani Junction/ Jorhat town railway station, you have to reach Old Public bus stand near Chowk Bazar via share taxi, auto or any other mode of transport. Then you have to take Share Taxi to Nimati Ghat, which take approximately half an hour to reach Nimati Ghat. (Reserve Taxi i.e. sumo / magic / maximo / auto / Bolero / innova etc is also available) First, you reach the Nimati Aphalamukh ferry terminal then Nimati Kamalabari ferry terminal. Now You can take your ferry according to your ticket.
