The restoration of Makerere University's iconic main building is nearing completion, according to Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabus Nawangwe.
The contractor, Exel Construction, is currently applying the final touches and has successfully restored the building to its original structure, while also incorporating modern fire response systems.
The historical building, also known as the Ivory Tower, caught fire on September 20, 2020, resulting in the loss of invaluable historical artifacts.
