Debashish is now a legend. Without belittling his charisma, I would like to point out that mountaineering especially that of climbing 8000 er peaks have now almost become a guided tour. It would be a pleasure to watch videos depicting the efforts of the sherpas fixing rope and opening routes followed by all climbers. They are the real unsung heroes.
if you talk to people living around this mountain they will tell you that there’s nothing beautifully about this place.its a barren land and locals depend upon yak for their survival.weather is harsh and nothing grows up there.mountains have always been associated to gods and they do puja not to anger the mountain gods.if nepal would have been developed country i’m sure no sherpa would have been a porter or climbing guide.only good thing Rana regime did was not allow any tourist to climb any of the holy peaks.
Ami to kcu somoyer jonno oi makalu te pouche gci but vdo sese dekhi ami amr bed a bose. Nice documentary video. Amio jete chai but karo songo pele jetam.
Amit your narration is more than the joys of mountaineering. Actually I have learnt from a book from Tensing Nurgey that Kanchenjunga climbing is more challenging and difficult. Even Mt.Makalu is also challenging.
First jokhon dekhlam 150 miter dorir jonno fire elen onara amar keno jani na du cokh diye sudhu jol bar hocche khub kosto hocchilo onar moner kotha vebe ..Pore jokhon abar uni gelen ebong sucess holen tokhon abar o khusite kedhe fellam..Sotti real real hero..Sahos er thekeo dhoirjo sotti pronam dada..
Nicely put video record of the climb. Couple of suggestions for next time. 1. Use better quality camera for High Definition video. 2. When pointing out mountain peaks and geographic features, instead of talking about the superstitious beliefs about them, better to discuss the scientific and geographic explanation of the rock formations. 3. Narrration is good but unreal, like from the 70s and 80s. It sounds more like a narration of Religious Pilgrimage videos. Please speak normally like we speak everyday in real world. Otherwise it sounds very artificial.
