Thanks for the chuckles…needed a break from cuttin fabric and this was just what the back needed. Enjoy that chair! Looks super comfy…the massage settings are an even bigger bonus! 🤗🤗

“ I don’t know why you keep coming back, I really don’t “ I was rolling. I have made several quick quilts just like that. Even with a patchwork or pieces top. I hate binding. It hates me too. The bound quilt looks better but for your grandson to love his quilt and drag it around with him, it’s perfect I love the bloopers at The end of the videos. Seriously. I laugh out loud. I talk to myself too. Quilting is so isolating…. Who cares. Enjoy the process. Keep them coming. 💜

My grandson is going to be making his third quilt. He asked if there was a way to not bind it. He will be using this method after he makes his quilt top. Then we will set it up on the long arm for him to quilt. At eleven he started quilting in April of this year.

You could try making machine tacks in even patterns on this quilt. If you use yarn to hand tack, he is likely to chew the ends off. This was the way they were making quick baby quilts at the Extension Office the last time I helped. They set up an assembly line; and, 51 baby quilts were made that day. All three of you (your husband, grandson, and you) look so cozy in those new chairs under those quilts. Thank you

Tracy loved the video and I have made several quilts that way but I made mine with mitered corners. I believe that I got the idea from Jan Howell and I have it saved so I can refer back to it. It looks like it has a border with mitered corners. It's not hard to do. I always enjoy watching you see. Happy Quilting ❤❤

Your two things you could try to make that run smoother under your machine get a dollar tree cutting mat and tape it down in front of the needle so your materials running across it or put a plastic wrap down and type it. Both of those would make it smoother or even tissue paper. I hope something like this will help.

@@TheSewingChannel I watched a woman making a quilt and she needed to square it up and all she had was her coffee table to use so she got a framing square no it was a T square it’s about 4 foot tall, and she laid it down on one corner and had a straight edge along the bottom or top with your side she was working on and straightened it up and it worked great and another woman had a 4 foot or 5 foot long metal ruler that she would lay on the table to make sure her stuff was straight not you don’t like if she was sewing strips; she could make sure they were straight if they were like four or five of them in a row. I hope that made sense. I love watching your videos.

And you were not using your electric lift table. I want to get something for my Juki but like you said the table you were using is double in price now I’m going to be doing something similar but I’m going to do a self binding Quilt my neighbor bought two huge pieces of polar fleece and I found a really good video on a super easy way to do the mitered corners so no binding and then it will look like it has a border
