I just made 6 using yardage & insulbrite! Didn’t know June Taylor had this. I used batting in my handles vs the webbing & just added additional stitching.

I like the potholder recommendation. A mug rug is another idea for the larger corner scraps.

I don't take casseroles anywhere, but this looks like a great way to protect my casserole dish in the cupboard. I worry about it getting cracked in there since I suck at putting dishes away, lol.

Thanks Courtney for sharing all your little tidbits you came across while making this project. I always like to hear other people's tips on what they learned along the way. Loved the "Do as I say.... not as I DID" 🤣 You did an excellent job explaining the steps. Hope to see you again for another cute project. 💖

That is super cute and doesn't look like it is that complicated to make. I think if you make one you could then make custom sizes for your other dishes. I do that often, I go through the motions of following the pattern and process the first time then do my own thing and customize after that.

Thank you! I have watched 3 videos on this caddy and no one else mentioned that the first 5" square should be centered "between the two lines". I was at a loss when I saw that the marked spot for the first placement was not 5 inches - it was more like 4 3/4 inches. Even the directions in the pattern said that the marked lines were "placement" lines. Not possible when the 5 inch piece of fabric is bigger than the marked area. Thank you again for clarifying this.

Now, I don’t have any square casseroles with lids. Because the handles come up from the bottom, I’m assuming the top of the food won’t get squished if you use foil (or press n seal) on the dish and wrap this casserole cover around?

Don’t iron! It’s not because of shrinkage but distortion. There’s a very high probability of distorting the batting thus distorting lines.
