Definitely something for my "Things To Build" list~! Love the "oops, never mind" dado cutting trick. LOL

Somewhere along the line, it would be great to DIY the steel bushing to guide the drill bit without chewing up the wood. No "pressure" ;-) .

Love these pneumatic clamps! So many uses. And thank you for not editing out the mistake. Oh, and one more thing - I’ve been wondering for years where RU-vid woodworkers wipe the glue from their fingers…mystery solved! 😂

Yeah this is cool - I've seen the one in Jon's videos and wished my K4 had the same thing. Would be a nice time saver when I get into big batches of pocket holes.

Thanks for this great information! And for sharing the goof. I’m going to try removing the drilling guide block from my Kreg and just attach that to the vertical piece. Always enjoy your videos!

Very clever way of using a pneumatic clamp! Don't use the kreg system that often, so it's not a solution for me, but I see the benefit for a cabinet maker who uses them on a daily basis.

Very nicely done! The only thing that I would change is to fabricate the drilling holes out of metal because continued drilling through those wooden holes is going to widen them. 👍👍

LOL! Everytime I hear Jon in background suggest or make a comment, reminds me of bad porn videos having director instruct the actors on what to do. 🤣😆😂 That being said, I like the pneumatic tools and wondering if I can apply it to hold down boards on CNC. Now Jeff, look at the camera. 🤣

Interesting, Jeff. I knew that initial cut was a mistake. That's where you use the 1/8" (or whatever you need) drill bit trick. How long will that drill guide last without bushings? Bill
@TodaysCraftsmen
@TodaysCraftsmen 2 месяца назад
Thanks, Bill! Sometimes the camera skews my judgment 😝 I’d say the holes won’t last very long either heavy use. We talked about using bushings on version 2 if folks want to see it.

Fantastic idea but the key is the pneumatics. Given the cost of all that, why not buy a $10 machined guide that comes with stop collars, bits, and hardened guides and not waste time trying to drill angled holes.
