This work is a brand new attempt for me. The materials for skeleton and surface molding are all materials I haven't used before. Although it is not the first time to use 3D pen to build the frame (used in the legs of space elephants before), it is the first time to use 3D for the whole frame, so I carefully drew the frame drawings, and the results proved to be good. The proportion and shape are basically the same as I imagined. The external plastic material is white paper clay, because it is white, he spacesuit is white too, so most of them don't need color, it's very labor-saving.
The most distinctive feature of this work is that I installed an LED with yellow light source inside the astronaut's helmet, took the convex lens as a part of the astronaut's helmet, and added a circular red glass plate in the center of the lens. With these parts, I simply imitated an Italian mandalaki design Studio's sunset light, when the power is turned on, the light projects from the astronaut's head to the wall, forming a red sun, just like a real astronaut looking at the sun in the universe.
