Wishing Noelle a successful surgery and smooth recovery. Kelly, your Roxy was amazing, just sharing her couch space with you two. Beautiful cat and wonderful suggestions for the MAL. Thanks for all you do and share
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Noelle. Tuesday nights are my fav now. Thanks for posting a video when you can't make it live! And, thank you both for all the great vest ideas. You are definitely my favorite "enablers"--so many ideas/patterns and your knowledge about all things yarn is fantastic!!
Ladies, thanks so much for the vest podcast. How sweet of you to think of doing this so we have something to watch and not miss you all. I hope you are recuperating well, Noelle, Now to find a vest and give my sleeves a rest to knit. Great pod! Thanks again.
I love your lives but I have to admit that seeing the two of you together was also such a treat. And the content was just wonderful, I would love to see more content where you sit together and go over patterns or styles. It was great and I got some great pattern and vest ideas too! More please, I think I will join the MAK. THANKS
Thanks so much Kelly and Noelle. Great podcast! Great selection of patterns that cover advance and new knitters also cost effective yarn suggestions as well. Noelle I hope your recovery is quick and Ross is spoiling you. Happy Knitting. P,S Kelly your blanket is beautiful.
Enjoyable episode ladies, thank you! Looking forward to casting on my vest (proud of myself, this will be made using stash!). Kelly, that blanket is beautiful! Was so looking forward to seeing it when you mentioned it in the Knit Cafe. What a treat to receive, please let Sara know she creates beautiful things!
Thank you Kelly and Noelle, it was a great podcast. So many beautiful vests patterns, thanks for doing the homework for us. Please knit or crochet a vest for Roxy! Noelle take care I will thinking of you💕
Hello ladies. Noelle…keep those feet up! Nothing worse than blood in the foot to get that throbbing! Glad to see this as I’m right into the vest as well. Riding that train as Kelly says. 😃 slow fashion, now that’s right up my alley. I’ve got a Sherpa coat that I haven’t worn for years that would look great as a vest. 😁 Thanks for a great show. See you next week.
Thank you both for sharing the vests/slipovers that you did. Several have peaked my interest. Noelle I hope your recovery is going well. I'm currently working on the Raincheck (vest) by Elizabeth Smith and I have my yarn and needles ready to go on the Tides Slipover. in a linen blend. Have a great week and looking forward to the next Knitchat. Kelly I love the woven blanket.I have a 32" single heddle but it seems daunting to make 2 full strips and then seam them for a throw.
Very excited about the Vest MKAL, was so intrigued by Kelly’s Riptide when she started it. Went and got everything together and never did get to it but now I am so ready!!! Hope your surgery went well Noelle 💕
Noelle best wishes on a speedy recovery. Kelly I love the woven scarf. Thank you for all the vest recommendations. I’m going to try the riptide vest. Fingers crossed.😬
🌴☀️Beloved Noelle wishing you a speedy recovery we love you both, thanks for the video this week & for caring about the community enough to make sure we aren’t starving while one of you are out. Love the 🤣bloopers btw☀️🌴
I love, love, love vests! I love knitting them and I love wearing them. I cast on my fourth, the Friday Slipover by PetiteKnit in Holst Supersoft, hold together with Holst Titicaca. And there are still a lot of vests on my list. Speedy recovery, Noelle!
Speedy recovery Noelle, great knitting time though! A special mention for Roxy, great podcast skills! 😂 She looks sooo comfy. Love a slip over. Thank you both as always. 😊
Geez Louise, now I just want to make everything, lol!! The ravenous appetite for enjoying so many wonderful patterns, just doesn't end. 😁 Anyway, off to look at vests (some really nice ones in the lates issue of Laine and also the book Echoes by Susan Crawford), as well as all of your wonderful suggestions! Thanks Kelly and Noelle, and wishing your feet the best, Noelle! Cheers, Judith 💜
Great recommendations ladies! Now I have to drop everything and start with vests! LOL I get hot very easily, so vests really are a good alternative. Thank you for a great MAL idea!
wow, so many great choices, thanks for putting the hours in to create this super list, some I had already picked, Lily Kate France one has well thought out shaping over the shoulders, saw it on Yarn Story recent podcast. Lots of inspiration.
Thanks so much for giving me a Tuesday...I always look forward to our knit chat evening. Speedy recovery Noelle, I hope you are up and around before you know it. Great podcast ladies, thanks again.
Ironically I watched this while knitting sleeves! Lol. Great ideas. Thanks as always Ladies...good to see you together. I hope all went well for you Noelle ❤️
Best wishes for speedy recovery, Noelle ❤️❤️ It was so nice to see you both ❤️❤️ and thank you for make my homework done! Now I know what vest I am going to make with my Andes yarn! Love from Poland ❤️❤️
Hi Kelly and Noelle Noelle, wishing you a speedy recovery after your surgery. I’ve been watching some of your videos since I met you at Eweknit’s Knit Night. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I haven’t catch a live one yet. Hopefully, next Tuesday. This video had me feeling inspired to knit a vest. So many great suggestions! Don’t know which pattern I’ll do yet. Happy knitting, Rochelle (aka yarnelleknits) 😊💕
Thanks for all the inspiration - so many more favourites now - looking forward to playing with the stash to choose what to make. Hope your surgery went well and you're recovering with lots of knitting Noelle.
I'm excited to see everyone's vests and will be cheering you all on...vests are not for me as my arms are always cold, lol. Sending you all the healing vibes Noelle!
The vest MAL will be fun. I have a vest on the needles I used to plan knitting for 2 seasons but when I had to stop knitting because of medical issues, over a year Catching up on socks, but sweaters are in a cue waiting to be able to hold the weight of the project The vest I can manage for short periods of time
Hope and pray your surgery goes well and you recover quickly! All your vests are beautiful! I have a couple vest patterns I am considering. Have a great week!
Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration ladies! Now begins my analysis paralysis!! 😂 I loved the outtake at the end, gave me such a good chuckle! And nice job co-hosting Roxy!🌟Headed to the Rav group to sign up and get lost down the vests rabbit hole!! 🤪
Lots of lovely inspiration here ❤ Another really gorgeous pattern to add to the list is The Ruffle Addendum by Jennifer Paroccinni. Have a great week everyone ❤
Great job! Began the episode thinking I would skip this make-along but I’ve changed my mind. Thanks for all the research. Your efforts are appreciated! Have a smooth recovery Noelle! Just think of all the knitting time available!
I love all the suggestions! I started the Ranne vest using 2 strands of white Nutiden. I had about 4” done, and put it down for a couple of weeks. When I went back to it, I couldn’t figure out where I was! I can’t rip back and get all that laces and cables back in their proper place, sooooo 🐸 🐸🐸
Thank you for the wonderful bundle of vest ideas. I am very tempted by several of them, but have committed to finishing a sweater that’s been on my needles way too long first.
Wow! That was a lot of work (and probably a lot of fun) for you to source out some amazing vest patterns. Thank you so much. Now....which one to make! Take Care.
Hi, ladies!!! I’m really looking forward to knitting a vest with all of you!! I cast on (twice actually already) a Fanad Head Vest by Bonnie Dean. My yarn is Noro Ito, an Aran yarn. It was a challenge to match up my yarn quantity and weight with a style that I felt would flatter. This one looks like a winner!!! Take care and feel better soon, Noelle.
wishing you good luck and speedy recovery with your surgery. I love this format of the podcast. Would you consider doing something like this for other kinds of projects as well? maybe at the beginning of each season? Just a thought.
Be well! Thank you for all of the pattern inspiration. I’m looking for my next pattern, while I’m knitting on the border of the Glittering Snowscape shawl by Stephen West. Almost done!
Hi Kelly I was wondering how did you reduce the number of stitches on the Always vest shoulders? thats something that bothers me too, the big wide shoulders vests sometimes have but Im never sure how to make them narrower...for instance I want to make that Maple vest but I definitely want the shoulders to be narrower than the pattern seems to be making it so how to modify that? thank you for the podcast about vests today! Love the beautiful, sleepy cat!
I never knew I needed a vest until I test-knit the Always vest. Turns out a vest is perfect for when you need a bit extra warmth but not needing a full sweater. I plan on making the Riptide...I even ordered what i thought was a similar orange from Galt House of Yarn, but it turned out to be slightly different than what I'd hoped...but it will be fine! It is Estelle Eco Tweed DK, which I've never knit with before. An unrelated question...I'm planning a birthday cast-on of the Piping Hot Pullover. My swatch is 19.5x31...should be 22x32. I really don't feel like doing multiple swatches 🙄...what would you do...keep swatching...just go down a needle size and hope for the best...or just knit the pattern a size smaller? Hoping Noelle is recuperating nicely❤😊
If you like the fabric and don’t want to do another swatch I would figure out the size to do based on your gauge, especially since your row gauge is so close. Just going down a needle size may not make the difference of 2.5 stitches. i don’t like doing swatches either!!
Hi, how do I know live time? Im in copenhagen and would like to follow you on tuesday. I enjoy the non "regular" setup (finished obj, on needles, future proj, requsitions). Thank you
Love all these pattern suggestions! Anyone crocheting a vest is absolutely welcome to join our Crochet Til May garment CAL over in our Ravelry Group. Double dipping is enthusiastically encouraged!
I can't seem to be able to get the show notes link to work for me. I just get a blank screen. Maybe it's my phone? I really NEED some of those patterns mentioned. Maybe I will have to watch the video again. Not that it would be at all painful to do. You two are such fun to watch. I hope you are doing well Noelle. And Kelly, is your living room totally neutral to showcase the gorgeous yarns you are knitting up? We wouldn't want to take away from their beauty after all. 😂
Hello Kelly and Noelle from Farnborough, England. I am knitting Norwood by Jenn Steingass. I haven't done colour work for many years. I have carried the floats right round the yoke without a break. Is this correct or should I use a new strand of contrast colour yarn for each section or doesn't it matter? Best regards, Marie
Currently, I am working on the Epidote Sleveless Jumper (spelled incorrectly, but that's how the designer spelled it). I had begun the Ivy League vest, but frogged it. It is not charted very well. While the pattern says to do waist shaping, the chart does not show that. Rather frustrating.
Hellou from Czech republic. I like slipover. I make more than twenty and every day implement my OTD.. Eve vest I make three time. And this month cast on four on me. Daniela/NielaD on Ravelry
G’day, another fun program well done, very interesting and inspiring patterns to explore. Take care Noelle, get back on your feet real soon, good on ya Ross for caring for her. Kelly, puss Roxy was so well behaved but a bit distracting she’s a pretty girl. 🍀🍀⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great episode. Your cat looks camera shy!! One vest I'd like to add is the Calidez Vest by JenJane Design which is a button up front. I made it this summer and I really like it. It's quick calling for a bulky but I used a worsted. (Netty062 on Ravelry)
Ohhhhhh so many ideas, I started the Riptide Slipover and had to "restart" because I made an error, so now I have the Riptide on the needles, also have the Trym Vest in Rowan Felted Tweed and now I will just have to start the Virginia! So little time, so MANY IDEAS!
