I am enjoying this new format of both your and Misti's personal studio videos. I feel the calmness as you sew and also feel like we're just sitting here visiting as we sew. Great job.
I just want to say that I agree with you, Jenny. The little MSQC 2-1/2" x 8" ruler is so useful - I've had mine for a long time and it's definitely the ruler I use the most.
I'm in the process of making this quilt now. It's amazing how easily Jenny trims those triangles all while sitting down. I'm in awe!. I have a time keeping the trimmer from slipping.
Hello this is Mary Ann from South Jersey I enjoy your video the heart is so nice I love the red I am a quilter I enjoy quilting I make sure I work on my quote every day I stand at my table and use the rotor cutter you're in the chair and that's just amazing to me thanks for sharing have a great day it's nice to know that there are other people in the world who love to quote as much as I do thanks for sharing
Beautiful quilt Jenny! Thank you for your easy instructions. I love how you say what your challenges are and how you make them work for you like reading a pattern, cutting on the light side and more. We all learn differently and it’s great that you make it look so easily. 🌸💖🌸
I,already have this pattern but I think I’m going to purchase the kit anyway. I haven’t been a fan of Kaffe fabrics in the past but these colors just sing to me and I want it!!!!!! Thanks for another great video!!!❤️❤️👍👍
@@yolandahale3140 well bummer!!! I should have purchased it 3 days ago! Guess I’ll just have to purchase the fabrics myself. I’m,off to Lancaster, PA in 3 weeks for the free Lancaster Quilt Show at the DoubleTree so maybe I can find a nice big FQ pack to get started. I’ll try to remember to take the name of this collection of fabrics with me I. Hopes I can find enough fabrics to step outside if my box 📦!!!!
This quilt has been on my to do list since the the first week 2022💗 Thank you Jenny for the tutorial 💖 and you are absolutely correct : this fabric collection is stunning 🤩‼️
My first MSQC order has been shipped. Very happy with the communication. Getting excited to see it arrive soon. Especially a new ruler like your little one used here. Love your home studio Jenny. 🇦🇺💜🇺🇸💚💯👍
Finished this pattern for daughter ....she is into greys ! Im a Batik gal ....my brain cells were exploding but all eventually turned out well ....she hasnt seen it yet....engagement present. You are the best . Thanks for this tutorial. l love the Kaffe fabric !
I made the exploding heart in teals and added 5 inches all the way around. I used extra b-f blocks scattered in the expansion. I might make it again someday!
I was wowed by this video and just started my quilt this week. I'm also using Kaffe but in a few more added colors since I don't think I would use the red pink only as much. I kept the white background... mine is solid since I wanted to use what I had on hand :):) thanks for the inspiration 🙏 ❤️
Hi Jenny, it has been a while for me, very happy to see you again, beautiful as ever making another gorgeous quilt as only the Queen of quilting can. Notice your weight loss, Hope it was a choice and not a necessity. I started on a Keto lifestyle a year ago and do feel better without excessive weight, glad I decided to explore other ways of nourishment. Have a catch-up to do on your videos, I can't wait. Best regards
Dearie, you have lost so much weight. Are you OK? Or was it planned. So happy to see you are still hanging in there and making sewing a fun thing. Keeping it real. Blessings.
What part does everyone find the most tedious part of making block quilts? For me it is the cutting out of the fabric. Once cut & organised I love it. If I could pay someone to cut them out for me I would. I made a pixelated Legend of Zelda Link character quilt & I had to cut over 600 little squares, thankfully no HST or QST just loads of tiny squares. As Jenny does I sewed rows then sewed rows to get her but took me MONTHS to cut the squares out.
This was a fun video to watch. In fact, I love going back through the history and rewatching many. I always seem to come away with some new or refreshed tidbit. Thank you. I've been searching for a way to make my sewing area more comfortable since buying a Bernina 740 last year. It's a big machine and needs something different than a table top. I stopped and started this video multiple times to dissect the cabinet you're sewing machine is in. Can you let me know what it is?
I love the heart pattern but an exploding heart is too painful since I’ve had many family members and friends die from heart attacks. I will make the heart but without the exploding bits.
Such a gorgeous quilt. Could you possibly give mesaurements in metres as well as yardage? Im from the UK and struggle to know how much I need. Thanks! xx
Question, stuck on the first block. When I create the 1/2 square triangle, and then I put the solid 5 1/2" background on top. The background is bigger. What is the best way to place those to blocks together because I am not getting a clear point with the color fabric and my white background.
I taught my granddaughter to sew using lined paper with no thread until she kept to the lines perfectly then she did it with thread again until perfect. Then I drew lines on scrap fabric so she followed those. Her seams are amazing now.Her cutting with scissors is terrible lol
I have the Bluebird fat quarter bundle that I want to make a quilt for my daughter's best friend's wedding, and I think she will love this pattern, so thank you! With the blues and creams of the Bluebird fabrics, what color do you suggest for the background? I'm terrible at picking colors that go together.
