I Promise, Cross my Heart, it's (NOT) FOR VALENTINE'S DAY! 

I love the way Donna instructs on her videos. She's always focused on the project without a lot of excessive talking that, most of the time, seems forced. She's the very best quilting teacher around! Met her at the Houston Quilt Show a few years ago, and she's a nice in person as on her videos.

Love how you turned the valentines heart quilt into a quilt you can display all year!

Re: Red heart quilts. Start a new tradition. Put the red hearts quilt on the bed of the person who's birthday is this week. Or anniversary. Or a major accomplishment like a raise or graduation. Or even if you know the person is going through a hard time, giving them extra love. You could even use it signal your partner that it's "date night". Hehe! 😉. ❤🌅🌵😷

I immediately think of George Strait's lovely song "I cross my heart, and promise, too..." Really cool.

The tops of the hearts have a 3D effect - very cool!!

I like the way you put that quilt together and made the pieces for it. Since I am a beginner on the sewing machine I am about to finish a quilt my grandmother was working on before becoming ill and passing away, then work on one I have a plan for.

Oh Donna!! I LOVE it...and I adore the background Valentine fabric on the Heart giveaway quilt. Tells us all how old we are, remembering those Valentines we exchanged in grade school......beautiful. Thank you.

Red hearts are a very popular Christmas motif in the Scandinavian countries. Back in the 1970s I made quite a few Danish and Swedish cross-stitch decorative items for Christmas that featured red hearts. With that in mind, you could use your red heart quilts at Christmas as well as in February. There are charming Scandinavian Christmas decorations and straw reindeer available online that would add a nice touch to the rooms with the heart quilts. These decorations are simple, usually made of wood. Add a couple of white candles, and enjoy a Nordic Christmas theme.

Good morning Donna and all at Jordans, These fabrics are so pretty and bring spring into the air with their happy colours. I love the size that it has come out at and the happy yellow thread is just that finishing touch. These fabrics would look lovely for picnic blankets as well, up on the hills, looking over the whole valley on a lovely day. Oooo, the thought of it just brings happy into mind, that i can't wait for this lockdown to be finished with , so that we can all have that freedom we used to know to do what we like. Thank you Donna for bringing such cheer to our lives with you wonderful talented fingers and your beautiful fabrics. The quilt that you are giving away today is so pretty and the back reminds me off my old fashioned scraps that i used to get for my scrapbooks. It is lovely how the makers are bringing back some old time memories to print and allowing a whole new generation to see the beauty of times long ago past. These scraps were off my mum's era(born 1944) but like her clothes of that teenage mum era, i just loved. I am still as old fashioned as i always was, but the fashions that i was too young to know but love, it is wonderful that they have came back into style. My mother had the same problem with all of her holiday themed decorations. The way she saw this was that she paired them with a snowman or snowflake decorations which you could use until the beginning of March. She was thought it was very important to strike a balance between the theme decorations and the snowman or snowflake decorations. In fact she was able to use the snowflake decorations because they were so dainty even in the summertime. They were the background of course but she she would always use them. I think it was more of a psychological effect because anytime you felt like you're really hot and you didn't want to put the AC on you could always just look at the snowflakes and then you were always brought back to winter and cooler temperatures.

I love pink so I’m going to make this is all those gorgeous pink, rose and red fabrics that I have been saving. It is going to look beautiful in my pink bedroom! I love hearts. My daughter wants me to make this for her with red hearts and a pale gray background for her living room. Thank you for showing us something that will appeal to so many people.

honest to tell you, i just found out your videos last week of december, i met an accident and had a broken wrist right hand when i felldown in shower room last december 4 my hand still in cast and in my condition your videos helped me a lot, first not to think the pain in my hand and second you inspired me to have hope that i can still use my hand with broken wrist bone in a light things like sewing and quiltings... thank you so much giving me inspiration. Such a great idea to use the heart shape, but not strictly Valentine's colors. I too like seasonal table runners and quilts but also find that some seasonal ones just get put away too soon!
