As a natural soap/candle maker for over 25 years. People should stop buying over priced bath n body stuff like Lush. There are tons of smaller companies that do it better and cost much less! Great Video!😉
@@CreativeBathLab I am just starting to make bath bombs. Your videos are so helpful!!! For a beginner, it would be nice to now the amounts and ratios of these ingredients you tested with your rock hard bath bomb ingredient. I teach middle and high school and want to make these with the class.
You are a very talented and generous RU-vidr! I greatly appreciate the great videos, the generous sharing of information and the detailed explanations! I truly appreciate you!
Love watching all the different surfactants & emulsifiers act differently & independently. I usually use 1 - 3 of these ingredients together depending on what kind of bomb I’m making. I love making gravity defying buildable bubbles in my tub so I suppose I make more of a bubble bath bomb types lol....totally enjoyed another fabulous video created by this lovely lady! Totally my fav channel. 🥰
Awe thanks! Yes, I usually use 2-3 ing. Combos, too, but I didn’t want to confuse anyone. I wanted this to be easily understandable & straight forward!
@@CreativeBathLab Which ones do you tend to include? As a newbie I want foam and bubbles for my little granddaughter but don't want to purchase them all. Thanks for a beautifully produced and informative video
I had to really experiment with the ingredients to come up with the right recipe for my bath bombs with SLSA and Coco Betanie. All I wanted was for my bombs to float. So really I ended up with using 1/2 tsp of the SLSA and 1/4 tsp of the Coco Betanie to keep them floating. I found that they also helped keep bubbles in the bath when I just used my soap products.
Thank you so much for making this video! I'm just getting into making bath products, and this was so helpful. I really appreciate all the effort you went to to make this!
Loved this video! You did a wonderful presentation with tons of amazing info! Bless you for using coco b 🤣 I can't find that "magical" amount to use that doesn't cause my mix to activate lol usually that batch ends up on my walls lol
Because of your channel I’ve finally found a hobby that I’m passionate about and sticking too I’m also on a budget and don’t have room for trial and error so I greatly appreciate all your informative videos they help me save time and money knowing what you’ve so kindly and generously shared with the world and that’s definitely very rare it seems these days a lot of people are greedy and selfish! Anyway I do have a question is coco betaine used for exterior since it’s slow reaction shows and then your SLSa shows it being vigorous so would it be an interior? If you could please let me know thank you so much for sharing your passion and gift!! Love your vibe and your channel bless you and yours!!
Dora, you're the best! Thank you so much for all of the personal help you gave me. I went with the Coco Glucoside, (the other would have taken too long to deliver 😉). And right now, I think I'm going to set up to do your bath truffle recipe (Moisturizing Mermaid 🧜♀️) , just the recipe though, I'm coordinating it with a CP soap I made, as gifts. And this video, was soooo helpful, thank you for sharing your knowledge and your passion with us❤
I’m so glad you weighed in & liked it bc YOURE the reason I did this! I started thinking about your question the other day on which surfactant to use & I thought how helpful this tutorial would be!
@@CreativeBathLab That's awesome...you're a damn super 🌟 You are definitely becoming one of my favorite You Tube channels. Everything you do is so nice🤗❤ Thanks again, for everything!
Great videos. Question about measuring though - many bomb recipes call for "cups" vs ouces or grams. And while 1 c of baking soda may weigh 8 oz, 1 c of citric acid may weigh almost 10 ounces. So a basic conversion of 1 c to 8 oz and 1/2 c to 4 oz would give "incorrect" ratios? because it would actually be 8 oz baking soda to 5 oz citric acid (which is not 2:1). Should actual oz weights be used (8:5 oz) or basic conversion weights (8:4oz)?
This was awesome to watch. I have never made a bath balm but, have all the ingredients to do so . I’m such a procrastinator lol. Just out of curiosity what was your favorite Dora? Thank you for sharing
I loved your explanation. Thank you so much for sharing so much I would love to know which of all the formulas you made is your favorite and if I can find all of these in your tutorials I send you a million hugs
I found this and all your videos so helpful and informative. I love your style! I have a question… in this video where you compared various options for the different outcomes of bath bombs would it be appropriate to use the same amount of say, for example Castile instead of liquid bubble bath in a recipe? In other words, could those two ingredients be interchangeable in a recipe? I’ve made your recipe which includes bubble bath, but could I also switch that out in place of Castile instead? Thanks for taking the time to do and demonstrate these tests and I hope you are happy, able to answer my questions, even if they may seem silly or dumb. Love you and your channel
Yay I'm definitely gonna find you on fb I'm excited, this has to be one of my top fav videos you made, this is filled with helpful information. The ones that released bubbles are always my favorite to watch, thank you so much. 💗
I'm so glad everyone likes it. I decided to make this video bc one of my subs (Tara) asked about ingredients & I figured this would help. But, I was actually worried, & thought "not many people are going to like this... it's not creative.. it's just experimental results... yada yada". But, this is how I taught myself how to make bath bombs. So I knew there'd be at least a FEW people that really appreciated it! But I'm just so happy that you guys seem to really enjoy it. But YES GIRL, hit me up on FB. I just created it like a month ago so any/all interaction & feedback is welcome! lol
@@CreativeBathLab this is exactly what I've wanted. I've only made 2 batches and really wanted information on the specific ingredients so I can fix what isn't working. TY very much
Hi just starting and couldnt find a more detailed, clear, and generous tutorial. THANK YOU. Please do you have a tutorial testing differents colorants. I am searching for one that doesnt stain at all but cant find it. thanks so much !!
Congratulations, I really like your channel, I have never done any, but I am going to practice it, I dedicate myself to glycerin soaps, and I want to put together cases with bombs and soaps. When I do them following your advice I will tell you how it went.
Thank you for sharing this visual. Do you have recipes available on your Patreon that include the liquid surfactants? Id like to learn how to incorporate those…as well as the two different formulas you suggest for dry ingredients.
You should do an in-depth video on all ingredients, used in bath bombs. I love bath bombs packed with skin loving ingredients and heavenly scents.. how do u get a good bath bomb packed with great ingredients that also work wells?
I didn’t know that much information went into it can you tell us which is the best to use or that you use I was making some for a friend don’t have time didn’t know about that extra ingredients it required but I am excited to start just have to get the rest of ingredients
Thank you breaking everything down for us. You have helped me understand a few things tremendously! I do have one question, do you run into any problems with the molds over packing themselves? I never ran into that problem before using the surfactants and emulsifiers.
Hi, very informative videos, would like to know can i put Castile Soap and Sodium Alginate both in one bomb? and if i can how much quantity of both should i use if i make a batch of 1cup baking soda, 1/2 cup Citric Acid and 1/4th cup of Corn Starch. ?
Hi I am Maz I am in Australia and love making bath bombs. O course my are nothing like yours. Love watching your videos. But I can't get most of your ingredients. Can you help me where to get some ingredients like yours. Thanks Maz 🌺
Hey! Thanks for the info. Question, when you say a recipe for the exterior and Interior are you saying they Crete two separate batches and them mold them as one?
Hi I was wondering for just a bath fizz can I do it with baking soda, citric acid, corn starch, mica for coloring and essential oil? Or do I need to add sweet almond oil or any other ingredients?
@@CreativeBathLab wait.... You need a carrier oil if using an essential oil so it doesn't create skin irritation. Essential oils are extremely concentrated and tend to cause irritation if not diluted with some sort of carrier oil.
Thanks so much! Claudia is right! After they dried, I just used a small paint brush & dipped it in gold mica & alcohol (makes like an ink). I was trying to keep track of different ingredients.
@@claudiagold1925 Oh ok thank you! Do you think she used a stencil? They seemed so perfect almost like a font. I really appreciate you sharing this info ❤️🙂
I don’t remember saying that but to tell you the truth, I’ve tried… I’ve TRIED so many times & it never works out for me! Silicone molds just don’t offer enough support to get the bomb hard enough. I have the cutest silicone molds… so I always try (& fail)… there’s been so many times I can’t count!
Total newbie here who for some reason thinks they can actually make these things haha. I watched both of your Lush-like videos and appreciate the information and great visuals. I'm just trying to combine the two videos to see what I should experiment with. Do you find that the dry or the liquid ingredients make the most impact? Also, I noticed you just used a fragrance oil without using a carrier oil. Is that typical or just for demonstration purposes?
First, you can 100% make anything that I do - it just takes practice! 2nd, I never do anything for demonstration purposes only. If you see it in the video, that's how I do it for real. Carrier oil isn't necessary here. I cant tell you which ones to experiment with first- just get in there & do it! Good luck & have fun!
Great video! It is very helpful. Would you be so kind to answer a few clarifying questions: Did you add 2ML of Castile Soap to the dry mix to create that bubbly perfection? If an embed is added to the bath bomb, would more Polysorbate need to be added to the original bath bomb recipe to prevent discoloration of the tub? Do you happen to have your bath bomb recipe written as percents?
Your video was So helpful, Dora! I just have one quick dumb question for you. If I make a bubbly&foamy bath bomb, Do I just add the sodium alginate and calcium lactate to my dry ingredients or were those meant to replace other ingreidents in the original recipe if that makes sense? 😅 Thank you!
Hi Dora , I wounded if you could help me ? I’m making lip gloss but I can’t get hold of polyurethane here in the UK 🇬🇧 is there something else I could use Instead ? I would be so Grateful if you could help me ? Kind regards Roxanne ❤
