The bottom feathers also are great for Deceivers. Every fly tier should have grizzly and brown capes in the material box, and that plus some flash and bucktail is about all you need for a Cockroach Deceiver. Super effective just about anywhere.

Thanks Cheech for a good lesson on multiple flies that also apply 2 various applications and variations. I like the smoothness of the Wooley Bugger. I like to tie in a few strands of crystal flash with the Mariboo for a sparkle effect which has been effective for me. Thanks again and keep the videos coming. God Bless n fish on!

Great video! Wanted to ask how you would polish the tip of the Matterelli Bobbin? I have a couple and love them, but I think they need polished as the thread will break on me..Wow, I can tell youve tied alot of Wooly Buggers! Really efficient !

The bulk avoidance is so obvious now. As a beginner it’s something I could never get right, of course this was pre-RU-vid. All these methods are so much easier now we have people like yourself making this content. Thank you. Question on the renomed scissors, do you find they are not always effective with nano thread 20/30D from Semperfli?

Not much is effective with nano silk. It’s GSP and it cuts best when it’s under tension.

As always, an excellent presentation! Visually, though, for this one, I wish that you would have worn a light colored shirt. All black flies against a black background was not ideal.
