If it was Hunt: Showdown you could tell exactly where that guy was, how fearful he was, what he was doing and what he ate that day. That guy could tell he was outside simply because it sounds different enough and the only sound Tarkov does better is distinguishing outside and inside. That and bush rustling. Hunt needs some god damn bush rustling noises.

03:25 as an answer to sams question. it's the audio. you gotta make sure your sound is setup correctly. DO NOT!!!!!! use any kind of post processing software. not even windows own. go into your sound settings on windows and disable ANY kind of surround sound or bass boost or anything. what you want for tarkov. is pure raw unprocessed STEREO sound. and then turn on binural audio in tarkov itself. (if you have surround sound turned on on your headset it WILL ruin the sound location. the video game does NOT send out any location data or anything like that so your surround sound is just guessing. and it's guessing wrong.)
