Most adult piano players think that the remedy for hand coordination issues lies in some sort of exercise to cure the ailment.
❌ Unfortunately, adding hand coordination issues to your practice routine rarely makes hand coordination issues go away….
❌ And often leads to longer practice sessions without results.
People are usually shocked when I tell them there’s ONE solution that makes hand coordination issues easier…🤯
And they’re even more shocked when I tell them that doesn’t require a lot of additional practice time….it just requires some additional brain power.
Once you implement this solution, it takes care of most hand coordination issues…..forever.
➡️ In today’s RU-vid tutorial, I give you this ONE thing that you can do during your piano practice to make hand coordination easy, forever.
AND
➡️ I give you two ways to practice it so that you can have success with it regardless of your current level or what kind of music you are playing.

One of my teachers insisted on this and I didn't always follow his advice. One time he said I guess I didn't need to. Students are often reticent in doing so. Perhaps Mr. Powell who studied with Marguerite Long had this pedagogy while he studied in Paris back in 1916.

Uhh, I watched this video, but realized that I am already doing it. I've watched too many of your videos and listened to your advice, and have incorporated it in my practice. I was in a rut recently, some of it due to a health problem that prevents me from playing as I would like. I had gone back to one of my method books, La Méthode Rose (bilingual French/British) and it helped for my sightreading. But even my teacher says it's not a book for children nor beginners. So today I re-opened my John Thompson book (in French) and started doing that from the beginning. And I was trying to be musical, and it was working finally. Especially as I counted out loud. Merci for your advice. They showed your method to drop into the keys, they say it's phrasé in French.

It's inspiring to watch you... yes you Ashlee learn right along with us. "If you remember Muzio Clementi is considered the"Father of the Piano" not Mozart, though we know that the latter was a genius!! Overtime though many would say Clementi had the more"successful" career(He was considered the first 🎹 salesman) even though they were rivals!! Hopefully you're"picking up what I'm putting down" or if not I've lost you!!! Anyway great job!!! # I know Salieri was his "chief" rival but not his only one!!!👏👏👏👌👍👍🤘

I would have liked to see you show us an example of this counting because I speak French and I'm not sure I understand how to do that

My latest project is to take some pieces I had learned in the past (Mozart, Debussy, Brahms, Bach, etc.) and commit them to memory. Will counting out loud help me with pieces I already know and can play up to speed?
