Wonderful video.I wish I had all of the tools to do this. My vintage travel trailer needs a table, I have the old one but like you say, it is way too big. I need a smaller version of my own. Thanks for the video, very well done.
Man that's some equipment. I intend to make one with hand tools. Seems every where I look for a little inspiration everyone has like a lottery win worth of shop and tools. Lovely to watch though! Thank you! I'm just jealous! Haha
Thats not a lottery win worth of tools, thats a lack of other hobbies. It's cheaper than having a project vehicle or a couple dirtbikes. My hobby just happens to bring me a little extra cash haha! Thanks!
Oh I like the brush in the glove! I can't believe How many times I have put a brush in a sandwich Baggie then peeled off my glove and thrown it in the trash and not thought to just use the glove.
Thanks for watching. If you want to support my channel even more, follow one of my many Amazon links and do your shopping. It costs nothing and helps me immensely!
Oh my...i love Your video's, everything u make looks very simple and like a cartoon ;p every wood u use looks very precise, clean and perfect :) i'm happy i subscribed ;)
I love it! Isn't that par for the course... you wake up to nature and decide to have some breakfast and that is when you discover that all you have is paper plates, forks and knives for your Fruit Loops? Hilarious!
The original table-top was clearly designed by someone who was planning for spills. By having a curve on the surface any spills would be contained on the table itself. ;-)
That's an excellent job on the table but jeez that's a heavy duty table for a very lightweight trailer! The owners might have to add a little more air pressure in the tires! :-) Gerald
backyardcnc It didnt seam that bad until I picked up the fiberglass one. I calculated the weight before hand and my client was okay with it. Its just over 20 pounds I think
I want to do this for our camper. I'd really like to know if the table will slide along the length of the rail, or do you have to lift/angle it first? Ours needs to move to provide better access to one of the bench seats.
Great Video... Learned a lot and subscribed to your channel for more... I am starting a 1973 Winnebago Indian Renovations and would love to ask your ideas on a couple fixes / modification when time, If Ok with You, Dustin? THANK AGAIN, Liking and looking at all your videos now ^_^" Xxxx
I'm about to make a similar table with 1x4 fir (but it will be free standing with folding pedestal legs). Before I start, do you think this will be strong enough to use as a bed in a traditional rv dinette (resting between two benches)? The boards would be running parallel to the benches. I'm concerned about the boards warping under pressure. Thanks for the great video! It's the best I've found, by far.
lets face it if you have a workshop like that then you will already know how to make a table and if you dont then you aint gonna end up with a table like that!
How do you find that clip-in aluminium rail with a much heavier table like this? Does it feel like a solid mounting? And that's also quite a lightweight folding leg - does your table feel sturdy?
Easily one of the best edited how to videos I've seen! Amazing craftsmanship and efficient. Only thing that could have me it better would be a very brief audio or text description before each step.
Hi, what is the name of the mechanism to lock and unlock the table leg at 5:18, could anyone let me know. Thanks very much!! It will help me a lot. I really would like to buy one from hardware shop or eBay maybe. Thanks.
