On a trip to the USA I bought one of these from the big W ,but when I brought it back to Queensland I discovered that the laser diode was not centred properly and the adjusting screws were so tightly done up that it could not be adjusted. To make sure that the laser diode is properly centred, twirl the unit around while in the barrel. The spot should not move. If the diode is not centred the spot will orbit around where the centre should be. Beware if the item seems like a bargain. Thanks for your website, it is a very useful contribution to my hobby. I've actually got one of these same kits, they are not expensive , neither are there much good. The lazer doesn't emit exactly centre from the unit, the best ones are calibre specific that emit a beam right through the barrel. Lining up the reticle is simple and precise
I believe that this laser for the correct setting of the air gun has some meaning, I would say up to 50 meters. At 100 meters and more, the projectiles go completely off the axis of the reticle thanks to the laser setting. But for Laser to solve everything for you, it won't be like this. When I bought it, I thought that I could set the gun at 150 meters without any problem, but in reality it is completely different ^ ^
If Phil is doing the job you wont be dissapointed. I have the Mk1. I fitted an Altaros regulator to it and it shoots very nicely and is very quiet. Probably my most accurate .22. The CZ barrels on the S200 are hard to beat. You will love it when it's been worked on by Phil.
The worst thing about this kit is that no where in the instructions does it tell you how many or what size batteries this things take. Gets you in the ballpark but not intended for critical sighting.
There is a MAJOR flaw in this video. He sets the scope crosshairs on the laser dot and immediately hits the bull first shot.. The pellets, assuming AA Field .177, would actually impact the target some 3cms BELOW the bull (Chairgun calculation). He made no allowance for pellet drop He should, in fact, have set the laser 3cms above the bull and set the crosshairs on the bull. Then he would have had a chance at hitting the bull, first time.
Great piece of kit , had mine about 4 years , gets things in the ballpark (-as you said ) then a tiny bit of fine tuning , excellent ... got mine for around £7 with batteries ( extra batteries available at the "£" shop ... nice , simple ,easy too use & cheap accessory ... recommended ..

The Rifle in the test is an Air Arms S200 cz. It was fitted with the air arms silencer. It is a really quiet rifle and the regulator also helps to reduce noise resonation through the air cylinder caused by the hammer spring and hammer. Because it is a measured amount of air each time, it doesn't suffer from excess air travelling up the barrel after the pellet has left the barrel.
Rotate the lazer 1/4 turn at a time and see if it moves = if possible note where it points each time and then aim for the middle of the circle it draws.
Got the exact same one, came from China and its the biggest POS. Was not even close on the alignment, and the instructions say not to mess with the 4 screws cause it's aligned at the factory, BULLS&%t.
Agree. I don't like to make negative comments but I just bought one of these and it is a POS. The instructions say you can turn the laser on and off- not true; you have to remove the batteries. The spacers I received don't look anything like the ones in the instructions and they won't work with my 5.56 rifle or .357 revolver. Supposed to have short screws and long ones in the box; again, not true. Ripoff, Ebay seller didn't care.
Am I the only person who's noticed the cornhole target with the bean bags? lol Also you can bore sight with a $1 laser and some rubber bands if you want to try it out. Not as nice and the laser will sit right under the barrel/moderator so adjust accordingly.
Don't waste your time on that specific Laser Boresighter. I have the exact same one and it is just useless. It never gets level in the barrel, no matter what little rubber gasket you put on it. Many times, the damn gasket came off in the barrel when I pulled the laser bore out. I should have known better for only paying $20 fot it.
This bore sighter is junk! Tried it out due to expense. I have a good one that cost 3X what this one cost me, but the switch wore out. This sighter at 6 ft doesn't center let alone at 10 yards.....no instructions with it on how to adjust it or use it.....wasted my money!
